I've had one. It was after I was rear ended in high school and it messed up my neck. It was an open MRI, which is cool, but since I'm so claustrophobic they still had to give me valium. Consequently, I don't remember a whole lot about the experience...
Two MRI's (oh, the joy of inheriting my father's medical history-anything's a suspect tumor): once for back issues in high schol, where the microphone broke, and last sept, on my head.
Thanks to all those that wished me good luck today
I have something really weird to say about MRIs...........
I really enjoy them - they are so relaxing.
I just close my eyes, and drift off into my own thoughts
The best, for me, was when I was totally enclosed to have my neck done. I was so relaxed then, that I almost dozed off.
I'm glad to hear your experience was... calming. Here's hoping for good results (I have to admit I didn't read about your MRI until after the fact). DW has lots of knee problems, and they have never mentioned an MRI... just xrays and bone scans.
Three, and my fourth - ie yearly - is coming up this month. I can't say I find them relaxing. I guess it depends why you're having it and how nervous you get in an enclosed tube.
