Have you ever tried Fried Macaroni & Cheese?
If so, what did you think of it?

I tried this Sunday at TGI Friday, and I didn't love it:sad2:
It was edible, and I would eat it again if it was in front of me, but I would never order it myself :sad2: It was weird - just something that doesn't need to be fried

Poll coming!!

Sounds like a heart attack in a bowl, lol! I'll pass if I ever see it on the menu.

That sounds so wrong...

It may be at NC state fair along with fried Reese Peanut Butter cups and PBJ sandwhiches. I'm not going to try it yet (avoiding this year's fair).

I truthfully do not know if I would want to try this or not. I just don't see why mac & cheese needs to be fried. However I felt the same way about twinkies a while ago and I was wrong on that. So... I go back and forth. I guess I would try it if someone offered it to me, but I am not sure I would go out of my way to order it.

Is it deep fried, or do they just sautee it in a pan for a few minutes. Sometimes after I cook my spaghetti noodles, I'll throw them in the wok for a few minutes, it really brings out a good flavor in them, especially if you sautee the noodles with mushrooms. My uncle is a chef and he taught me this trick of sauteeing the spaghetti noodles.

They are deep fried. They are like little clusters of mac & cheese with breading around it fried.

I've tried it a couple of times, DH orders it w/ that 3 course combo. I liked it, but only eating 1 or 2. It's just too greasy for me.

DH and I tried it at TGI Friday's and it was surprisingly good! They served it to us with marinara sauce to dip it in. It was good while it was hot, but once they cooled off they were terrible.

I tried it at TGI Friday's and really liked it!! :thumbsup2

That's where I tried it the 1st time as well and it was tasty...the second time was at the Cheescake Factory (my daughter orders this) and none of us liked theirs.YUK!

We went to TGIFridays on Friday and as much as I wanted to try it, I got the fried string beans instead because I had them before and absolutely loved them. 2 of the kids at them all on me though. Next time I go I am gonna get them the string beans and me the fried mac and cheese.

There was a little local BBQ place that had it and we I really liked it. I wouldn't go out of my way to seek it out again, but wouldn't not eat it.

I've never tried it, and wouldn't order it. But if someone at my table ordered it and offered me a bite, I'd try it.

DD ordered it at the Cheesecake Factory and we both loved it!
I never would have ordered it myself but I couldn't stop eating hers! It really was tasty! YUM!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I love fried foods, but I really didn't care for fried Mac & Cheese. It's edible, but I wouldn't make or order it.

I'm also not a fan of fried oreos, candy bars or cheesecake. Some things just don't need to be fried.
