I prefer hard shell. I put beef, salsa, tomatoes, cheese and sour cream on mine. Sometimes guacamole.

It's funny, whenever I go to taco bell, I end up making my own that week.

I like the soft shell. I like it contained, at least for a minute.

Anyways, we make soft tacos at home. The Ortega or Taco Bell kit we buy.
Soft tacos seem to do well at home, the kids don't seem to like the hard shells. Use beef, shredded cheese, and the taco sauce on our tacos.

You don't have my choice listed--I love fish tacos! I make them two ways--grilled red snapper seasoned with cumin, chile, oregano and lime, served in a soft tortilla with chopped avocado, cilantro, and a thin chili-lime flavored mayonaisse, or battered fried fish (usually cod or haddock) in a soft tortilla with sliced red onion, jalepenos, tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and crema.

If we ever go to Taco Bell I like a chicken soft taco with extra fiesta, which is extra tomatoes. If I make tacos at home we like chopped meat in them, lots of tomatoes, onion, cheese and a little sour cream. I like a hard shell with meat tacos and a soft shell with chicken, but everyone else here likes the soft.

The right taco has skirt steak that has been marinated in Beer overnight and then grilled and topped with Cilantro and diced onions! Cheese only if it's the right QUESO!
