Do you take advantage of coupons?

I used to use grocery store coupons all the time. But then, my 2nd DD was born and I started to not use them anymore. I didn't have the time to look for them in the paper, and I didn't have time to sort through them before I went to the store.

I do use coupons for fast food though. I keep those in my car and they are always handy.

I also use store coupons for when I get my girls photographed at Sears Portrait Studio. Those coupons really help keep the cost down

I use all the coupons I can get - everything I save goes into the fund for next year's Disney trip.

I used to get $4 to $5 off every week with coupons a few years ago, but I've pretty much stopped using them nowadays. It seems that most are now tied to buying 2 or 3 or 4 of a product to use the coupon and I just don't have the space to store much.

use grocery coupons all the time - and shop sale ads - I have been saving so much lately, I told DH I want to start putting that savings into a Disney Vaction fund - it would be quite alot at the end of the year!

We also use Entertainment and our local restaurant coupon book for dining out - we enjoy dining out and would not be able to do so as much without these coupons.

I'd do this too if DD wouldn't keep absconding with the good scissors. Ever try clipping coupons with meat scissors? Blah.

As for recalling to use your coupons, if you don't have a coupon organizer (just a small envelope would do) get one and stick it in your pocketbook. I lost my divided one and am paying for it now... last time at the store I had them with me, but forgot to pull them out.

In general the coupons are not for the stuff that I buy, so only rarely do I use them. When they have one I do use I try to always use it.

I used to be obsessive about coupons. I had an index card box and had them filed under seperate categories.

The problem was it took a lot of time to clip, file and then retreive the coupons. A lot would expire and then I had to go through the file box and clean them out. It was so time consuming. Then I'd be in the grocery store and it took forever...like twice the time to go through the filing system looking for a coupon that may or may not be there...add to that I had the blasted file box tip over on me once or twice and hundreds of coupons spilled out onto the grocery store floor.

Finally I decided my sanity and time were worth more than a 75 cent double coupon so I gave it up.

I do envy those super clippers who pay for their trips to Hawaii with the money they save on coupons, but I know realisticly that will never be me.

I always try to clip them and use to be more on top of it. I use them for groceries, take out, and stores. Anywhere I can save money is great!

I only really use the ones they have at the store, mail to me or give me at check out. I don't clip.

My FIL calls me the Coupon Queen. I love when my grocery store has double on 1.00 off coupons and sometime triple coupons. When I first starting Dissing I had some problems with Universal coupons that kinda defined me here for awhile. I usually have coupons for entertainment and BOGO. But we have to budget so the couponing helps us a lot with stuff we normally wouldn't do or buy. I just don't see why I should pay full price for a car wash, pizza, or tide when I don't have too....I have to thank the Budget board folks though because I have gotten on a lot of lists that send me coupons because of some of the freebie stuff I got there. Plus, any penny saved can go to my next disney vacation....we went in April this past year and we saved forever (it seemed) to get to the Mouse so every little bit helps.

My store will take the coupons after the fact as long as you have a receipt
