slo's Saturday poll - Applebees vs. Chilis

I choose Chili's since its the one close by. There are about 3 Chili's within 10 miles of my home. But there isn't an Applebee's in sight. Always wanted to try it though.

I'm not really crazy about either one of them (a little overpriced for what you get, IMO). We definitely don't care for Chili's- we tried those chicken crispers things a couple of times and they've always been really squishy and like the batter wasn't cooked all the way.

I have to pick Chili's because of their delicious, warm tortilla chips and salsa!

I have both places nearby but I chose Applebees because I can get all my favorites there.

I don't like most of the food at Chili's because I'm a picky eater. Applebee's is more to my liking

I think chilis has more variety but I LOVE the Oriental Roll-up at Applebees.

I think that I prefer Applebee's food but we always get such slow service at these places! Chili's also has that wonderful tortilla soup.

Applebees!!!!! And it's funny because I used to not even like them that much because I thought they didn't have much to choose from, but now they have this asiago chicken thing with tomatoes that's .

We have both, but Applebees is at the very bottom of my chain restaurants list. I just don't like it very much.
It is the closest one to us, but we rarely go there.
Actually even though we like Chilis a lot we will go there and then I'll look at On the Border next door to it and convince my family to go there instead. LOL

Chili's for us too. Applebee's service and food quality can by uneven, IMO. Chili's, at least the one we go to, is consistently good.

Chili's! We keep trying to give Applebee's (or Peaches, as DD13 used to call it way back when) another chance every 6 months or so, but they always have TERRIBLE service. Last time Dh and I went, my food was raw and runny. When they brought it back after I sent it back (very politely and apologetically!), there was a piece of plastic in it! This is far from unusual...I wonder who I ticked off there. LOL

Definitely Chili's. Their food is consistantly flavorful and they have great service. I have never been disappointed at a Chili's, but have been many time at Applebee's. Great menu selections too.
Semi ot: I am with a group of gals who (try to ) go to Applebee's trivia night once a month. Not too long ago they had the incorrect answer and our table had it correct. They wouldn't change it, even though after talking with the manager he admitted the answer they had was not correct. That drives me crazy - that is what Trivia is all about. Why have it if you don't do it right? Just my little vent. Thanks.... I feel better now.
I do feel that the service in the bar area of Applebee's is much better than the service in the restaurant section.

Chili's even though Applebee's is closer. My daughter works there. Also like the menu better and Chili's is better about dealing with special requests.
