What is your opinion of Fish Sticks??


I know a lot of people that think fish sticks are disqusting - my DH being one of them. Me and my girls really love them though, and if I know he's going to not be home for supper, I almost always make this for us. I make it with Kraft Mac-n-Cheese, and we are all happy!!!

we were watching a Roseanne rerun the other night and she was fixing fish sticks. They kids commented we never have fish sticks, so I bought a bag and I couldn't believe they liked them. I still think they are pretty bad.

I voted other. I do remember eating them as a child. I must have liked them at one time. As an adult I'm not going there. I do enjoy fresh fish just not packaged little squares. Or would that be rectangles? Well you know what I mean.

We ate them as kids, but we do not have them in our house but once in a blue moon. The only fish stickish item that I do eat often, is a fish sandwich at McD's or BK's. And only with it loaded up with lots and lots of tarter sauce.

I can't even remember the last time I had them, maybe 30 years ago...

I guess it depends on the brand and how they are prepared, because I remember liking some and not liking others.

My Kids like them and I can eat a few...but they leave a little bit of an after taste...not good

We had fish sticks for dinner last night.

My kids LOVE them. We always buy the ones that say "No Minced Pieces" on the box. Make them with some french fries and a side of corn.

I don't ordinarily eat fish sticks, but I always get them at Columbia Harbor House in the MK. Not sure why, but they taste so good there... maybe they're sprinkled with pixie dust....

Growing up Fish sticks with Franco American Spaghetti(yummmmmmmmmy) were a staple on Friday nights! Eat quick kids, it was Moms night out at Bingo!

I found this answer to the poll "I will eat them only if I have too" really funny. I could only imagine someone standing over me with a big ole dead fish forcing me to eat a fish stick Take that woman, eat this fish stick!


But to answer your question, I would not eat one, even if forced. I'm pretty strong willed that way.

I LOVE THEM...but that being said I have not had them since the 1960's when I was in CATHOLIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOL and that is ALL they served on Friday's in the cafeteria...dare you eat anything on Friday OTHER than those fish sticks

But they were good. BTW: That school is closed!

AND I cannot believe I admitted on the DIS that I was in elementary school in the 60's...but it is true.

I voted for edible. I don't mind them but haven't have any for years. It is just dh and I - no kids - so I don't buy them.
