slo’s WEDNESDAY 4/30 poll - Gummy Bears vs Gummy Worms

I’m not gonna lie……I can eat my weight in both of these items. I live very close to The Albanese company so Gummy items are a big part of NW Indiana. I need to make a trip there this week to make a candy tray for someone and naturally Gummy Bears will be included. I can’t leave there without buying something for us and it’s always hard for me to decide which to buy - the bears or the worms, What’s the difference you ask? Here ya go…..



With knowing this, I now ask for your gummy sweet answer today……

What’s your opinion Gummy Bears and Gummy Worms?

For Me……This is a tough one, because I enjoy both very much. I’m going to say that I like gummy bears more than gummy worms since they are smaller. I put them in a small Dixie cup so I can only eat a small amount at a time. I can’t do that as well with worms. If I don’t put them in the small cup, then I may eat the whole bag, and that will give me a big stomachache - LOL!

Our family fell in love with the German Gummy bears that were originally sold in Epcot. They were the most flavorful bears. Over time the Gummy bears because "Americanized" ad not as delicious. I was able to find "real" German Gumi bears at the Christkindlmarket in downtown Chicago. I bought them for years as a Christmas stocking stuffer. But everyone outgrew Gummy bears and we haven't bought them for years. I'm not a fan of them, anyway.

100% Gummy BEARS... I will not eat the worms. Yes, my intellectual side knows that they are the same thing in a different shape, but I cannot bring myself to eat the worm shaped ones.

I'm with KItty.....no gummies for me. I buy them for the grand kids sometimes, DGS likes the sour ones.
I think they are like chewing sweet rubber.

I eat more than my share of both but I only eat worms in the “sour” version, never just gummy.

I prefer worms over bears because they tend to be a bit softer. My fave are Coke and Dr. Pepper gummy bottles.

I prefer the bears. There is a small candy shop near us that does chocolate covered gummy bears. My boys love them.

I prefer the bears. I can’t figure out how to eat worms. Do I put the whole thing in my mouth and chew it up? Do I take a bite and hold the rest of it in my hand until I finished what I bit off? It’s too much drama.

I like the bears okay. I've never had the worms. My kids don't like gummy anything, so I don't buy them or eat them (which is a good thing). The last times I've bought them were for a teacher who listed them as a favorite candy - about a decade ago - and then a few years back for an osmosis science project.
