Have you had riced cauliflower?
If yes…..what is your opinion of it?

For Me…..I made it for the first time this week and we did not like it :sad2:
My DH actually hated it, but he still choked it down. I told him to leave it, but watching him grumble while eating it made for a pretty humorous meal - LOL!
I have one more pouch of it (shown below), so I have a question for others that make this - Do you add anything to this? We ate it straight out of the pouch. Should I add a little butter and salt? Please share what you do - thanks!

I do like it but I cannot eat it out of the pouch. I actually sauté it in a frying pan on medium/high heat to get all the water out of it and try to brown or crisp it up a bit. When it starts looking good to me I will usually add a splash of coconut aminos or soy sauce to it to give some flavor.

Thank you for posting this - I’ll try this 🙂👍🏻
I prepare it in a similar way to this recipe, using chicken broth. It’s been a while though! Need to add it to the meal plan. Thanks for the reminder Slo!

Awesome - thank you for this link - I’ll definitely try this 🙂👍🏻

I tried to make cauliflower (not riced, but baked with cheese) a few times, just don't like it. I prefer brown rice if I need a rice ingredient in a recipe.

I don't like it. DH does. I use it for him for a base to put saucy/gravy foods on.
The only way I like cauliflower is raw.
I did see Costco has riced cauliflower fried "rice". I might pick up some for DH next time I go.

I like cauliflower, but don't think I've ever tried it riced.

DH and DS don't like it at all, so I only buy it when I feel like making two different veggies.

We have it semi-regularly. Not bad, but also not something I go out of my way to get.

That said, I DO like it for a pizza crust. I made it once (IIRC, you mix it with parmesan), and it was okay. Much better to buy frozen in the store -- they have cauliflower crust and broccoli crust.

Tried riced collie flower. No likey.

But I do like it as a vegetable. With cheese sauce, in stir frys, raw on a veggie platter, etc.

Cauliflower crust pizza was vile. 🤮

I like cauliflower, but mostly as cauliflower, not some iteration (pizza crust, riced, etc.). However, Trader Joes carries a frozen riced cauliflower that has.. I wanna say pea shoots and several other minced veggies that is very good. Other than that version, I am not a big fan. Regular riced cauliflower is meh- definitely needs to be cooked up with other good things.

::yes:: Oh Lord, yes!! Even the most devoted cauliflower lover among us probably wouldn’t like it plain. I really like cauliflower; it’s a staple vegetable side dish and raw with dip around here, but plain cooked, without even any salt, wouldn’t be palatable.

I’ve never purchased riced cauliflower, but I do make a version of Keto “mashed potatoes” where it’s smashed to bits with chicken broth, butter and cheese. It’s delish and loved by every low-carber I’ve ever served it to. Of course it’s seasoned with good amounts of salt and pepper, and I add Mrs. Dash.
