Paying bills….we all have to do it.
Always a bummer to pay for things that are no fun like medical bills and utilities, but it is what it is - gotta do it.

When you pay your bills, do you send your payment(s) in the mail, do you pay them online, do you have payments automatically withdrawn or do you go to the place and pay there?
(multiple choice)

For me……I do everything I listed.
One car is paid by mail and the other is automatically withdrawn
Mortgage is automatically withdrawn
Utilities I pay online
Credit Card is paid online
Medical are some paid online, some by mail and local doctors I pay at the office
I pay bills once a month - easy come, easy go - LOL!

Almost all online
Some auto - very few as I like to keep control
Mail unreliable so I only have couple if I could do them online I would both are utilities paid quarterly and of course most Dr - when I paid them online it just kept messing up my account as the payments were misapplied so I stopped doing it - I’m not doing their accounting for them !
Do my bills twice a month when I get paid - often Sunday afternoon.

We don’t bank online so I pay most of our bills by phone/check. I have 1 that I pay by an email link and another that I pay by credit card.

On a app on my phone if not automatically deducted. Several are set up monthly on my credit card so I pay the card back.

Can’t think of any bills that I could pay by mail. That’s rather obselete.

Almost all automated, as many as I could. Electric I don't because I want to see the amount first.

Unless I can't (some medical needs mailed or called in) I only pay online.

Two bills come out of the checking account, rent and electric. Rent I have no choice and electric they charge me a quite large if I recall convenience fee. Oops, new car payment, it's via transfer from my credit union account to another credit union account the loan is through, so that comes from checking as well.

All else is by CC. My only lines every month in my checking is paycheck, rent, car, electric, and CC payment. Oh yea, forgot about my $0.18 or so interest the check account makes, LOL.

Really? That's weird, I don't have a single bill that I couldn't pay by mail. Choosing to stopping the bill coming in the mail isn't not being able to pay by mail. I've cut down most of my mail, but could always start getting the statement again.

Married 49 years and I have never paid a bill. DW has done it since DAY 1. Both of us being employed before marriage I mentioned to her that the money she made was hers and the money I made was hers so if she can take care of all bills she can spend what ever she wants with what's left.

I write checks for insurance, yard, and pool
Automatic for storage unit, and all our streaming services
online for the household utilities

Almost 100% online, most automatically withdrawn from account. On some annual bills where I don't want to go through the trouble of setting up a "payee", I'll mailed a check or do it by telephone.

We pay most of our bills online. However, we pay the water bill at the location as they charge a pretty high fee for online payments, and the office is just down the road from us.

A few different ways. Most of our regular ones are paid on-line through our bank and DH does it manually every month. A few are direct debit from our bank account and several are is set up to automatically charge to a credit card. Random, one-time bills are paid by e-transfer whenever possible.

I guess I'm old fashioned -almost everything is paid by mail, except for town bills that I pay in person as town hall is right down the street from me.

See, I wouldn't mind paying by mail myself, but our bank only allows so many paper checks a month.

Plus mail has gotten remarkably slow lately.
