I tried the whole Yeti cup thing. I like the idea of it as I love cold cold drinks with loads of ice, but they’re just not practical for me. They’re so freaking heavy that I just hated having to haul it around.
That's funny because I bought one (Walmart Ozark brand) on a bicycle trip, grabbed it when I stopped at Wallyworld to find a sleep mattress to replace mine which leaked at the fill valve. It is a life saver as I burn up from the core. A frozen regular bottle only lasts an hour on the bike. Always thought I was dehydrated from sweating so much, here my problem was I needed ice water to cool my core, not hydration. I now have ice water for the entire day on the bicycle.

Love it so much I am going to buy the larger one. Funny how you say it's so freakin heavy, while on a bicycle you are always looking to shed weight and I'm going to add 2 of these bottles to my touring kit now (to go along with the other 3 bottles I have, which I carry about a gallon and a half of water.)

In the summer it's 110-115° at work. 8 ice cubes in this and it lasts me all day (in and out of the heat and air conditioned office all day) with at least 1 and usually 2 refills. The 2nd refill usually depletes the ice, but it stays cold.

I have one Yeti and two Ozarks all the same size that I use for coffee in the car. They all work about the same, I would say the Yeti keeps hot a little bit longer but the Ozarks are great too.

I have that same jug! I just use it for water storage though. I keep it at my desk to fill up my mini Keurig coffee maker.

After the covid vaccine kicks in, I am going to go back to drinking the FREE coffee in the lounge. Lounge coffee isn't as good, but you can't beat the price.

We have a bunch. We take the 20oz and 30oz ozark trail with metal straws for cruises. We have the metal bottles for school, work, etc. I'm stationed in Germany, so I use my yeti cup with a bottle koozie inside to put my Munich-style Helles bottles in. They're the 0.5L or 16oz shorter, fat bottles. I think Urban Chestnut uses something similar in the states. I think a google search of "Euro beer bottle" shows it, or just search for Augustiner, the best beer ever! You're welcome...

For water, I use a Thermos. It keeps water cold for 24 hours. For hot drinks, I use a S'well. I did have a Yeti and loved it but somehow I lost it.

I powder coat Yetis (and other brands) so we have quite the assortment in our house that we use. I don’t think either one of my daily ones is a Yeti though. I use a 30oz for coffee in the morning and a 20oz for water throughout the day. My husband uses a 20oz for coffee in the morning and one of the water jugs everyday.

Aren’t they already powder coated?

I refuse to spend that much money on a cup, so I have a generic one. DD's high school did a fundraiser last year and I got the one I'm using now through that, it works just fine:)
