Never heard of it until now.

I was riding across NY when we stopped at a shop for lunch and had a sandwich. It was the best roast beef lunch meat I'd ever had, Boars Head. For years I wanted to find it locally and was almost tempted to drive back up there to buy some. One day I'm going past the deli counter at the grocery store and there it is!

I don't do lunch meat very often, and now it is Boars Head if I go to that town for groceries. Else I seek out smaller shops that smoke their own so it's non-processed. Last time at the butcher shop, they asked if I wanted rare or well done. What? I can get a rare roast beef sliced up into lunch meats? Oh yeah!!!

I’ve never heard of it, but I’m Jewish and vegetarian, so I’ve never had ham.

The scent of cooked ham or bacon in the air has alway made me queasy. Other meats or unkosher foods don’t do that to me, so think I wouldn’t have liked ham specifically, anyway.

Krakus products run the range between very high quality ham on the high end and something that would make Spam Blush on the low end and lots of stuff in between. Whichever your supers decide to stock may go far to determine what you think of them.

You learn something everyday!!! I never, ever saw Krakus ham in a can. Who knew?

I thought Krakus discontinued their canned hams and went to the “uncanned” type. Same sizes but wrapped in plastic and netting.

I never cared for canned hams, even the better ones. They had that gelatin slime on them. Yeah, you can rinse or wipe it off, but it made it unappetizing for me.

Never heard of it. And checking their website, it would take a couple tanks of gas to find a store that sells it. But I love ham.

Wow, I haven’t seen a canned ham in donkey years.
Since I prefer foods without certain preservatives I buy sliced to order deli goods at the counter, often at Zabar’s, a NYC institution. It makes me smile going in that store as it reminds me of NY when I was a kid. They sell a ham made on premises that reminds me of the Bayonne style ham of France and it's their best seller. They also sell the bone which makes a beautiful soup.
