I pretty much have aged out of coasters. Will still do Thunder. I've done all the others at WDW in the past, but between my back and heart issues, feel it best to watch others have the fun now. Never did any at Universal. Back in the 50's/60's when we had Riverview here in Chicago, I was always hesitant as a kid but gradually wound up doing them all, except for the Bobs. The Bobs had the reputation, I respected it, never did it.
Riverview was something special growing up in the Chicago burbs. It along with Adventureland are what got me hooked on amusement parks. Looking back at old photos I’m surprised that there wasn’t more fatalities at Riverview. Pretty progressive for its time.

I love them! Guardians is my favorite of the WDW coasters. I thought it was fantastic. (Tron was also really good, but very short.)

Riverview was in a class of its own back then. Very much ahead of its time.

Man, I haven't gotten September yet, but it's the best song in the bunch. In 3 rides, I've gotten Tears for Fears twice. 🙄
We got September when we rode…seems like maybe that one doesn’t pop up as much? That ride was such a blast-my son(10) LOVES that song

I love them unless they go upside down. Then I really have to WANT to ride in order to ride lol.

I always loved them. As time marched on many coasters started adding the loops where you are upside down for a while. That was fine for a while, but as I aged I started finding some of those no longer agreed with me.

As my name implies, I love them. I used to travel almost every weekend during regional park season to ride a coaster somewhere.

I used to keep track of how many different coasters I had been on but lost that spreadsheet a while back. The last milestone I remember hitting is number 250 but I don’t know where I stand now. I’ve often thought about using one of the track record websites to redo the list to see how close I am to 300 and to start planning to get there.
That was me back when I was single. Practically every weekend in spring and summer I’d drive or fly somewhere to ride coasters.

Some of the big coasters are too intense for me now: Millennium Force at Cedar Point, Intimidator at Kings Dominion, etc. I’ll try anything but a fair amount are now one and done for me. (Tumbili at KD).

My track record is 457. About 150 of those coasters are now defunct.

My family visited relatives in Chicago during the summer and one evening we all went to Riverview. Nobody knew that it would be the park’s last season. It must have been a shock when the closing was announced.

My older cousins rode The Bobs but I was a bit afraid. I did ride two or three of the smaller coasters.

I generally enjoy them, but there are a few DH likes that I skip. Our last amusement park trip was to Universal, and Velocicoaster was my favorite! (I held the hats and phones while the guys went on Hulk, though.)

I ride some coasters. Just did Seaworld, and enjoyed Mako, but did not ride the others.Took me over 20 years of going to Universal to ride Hulk, but after riding Velocicoaster, it wasn't bad. VC is so awesome. I doubt I'd do all the big ones though at places like Cedar Point.
I can't do the ones that have a lot of backwards motion.
I loved Guardians. That is so innovative and smooth. I don't ride RnRC anymore, or Space Mtn, or Rip Ride Rocket at Universal. shakes you around too much. And for some crazy reason. Big THunder mtn, now makes me nauseous! Tron was super fun!!
Glad you enjoyed the coasters at Disney

I like most roller coasters. I've ridden all of them at WDW except Tron and GOTG since they opened after our last visit. Will try them in January.

Not a roller coaster person. I HATE big drops, and I have vertigo so going backwards, around in circles, and spiraling are big no-nos for me. :crazy2: People like to go to amusement parks with me; I'm always available to hold backpacks, sweaters, etc. while others ride things! I have been on Barnstormer and it ate me alive, and 7DMT was a killer- when the car swayed outside of the Cottage? I was done, for about 2 hours, following that! I have ridden Splash 5 or 6 times and decided to stop. I hate the drop and it was giving me a headache, so I stopped. BTDT, not doing it again (well... especially now that it no longer exists...).

Having said that... I love Big Thunder Mountain! It's my "thrill ride" at Disney! The drops aren't too big, I know how to prepare for them, and the spirals are at the very limit of what I can tolerate.

Have never been a big fan, but I went on some of the milder ones when I was younger. I’ve done Space Mountain and BTMR at Disney. I have a fear of heights, and would never go on anything that goes upside down and/or backwards. And I know it’s not the same, but I love log flume rides.

It was a big surprise when it did not reopen for the year in 1968. 1967 was the end.

In addition to the Bobs were the Greyhound, Fireball, Comet, Silver Flash, Blue Streak, Jetstream, Flying Turns and Wild Mouse.

Fun years.

I liked them when I was younger. Don’t know if I will try Tron.

I LOVE coasters! Guardians is great but I found Tron to be very mediocre. I have no desire to ride it ever again. Velocicoaster and Hagrid's at Universal are extremely fun.

I'm going to Busch Gardens Tampa for the first time this October and I'm very excited to ride Iron Gwazi and the other big coasters.
I guess I agree with this. Tron has so much potential but after the first 15 seconds it doesn't do much. the uniqueness of the ride system doesn't justify the wait.

We went to Tampa in july (twice actually) and Gwazi is great, although it's much better in the afternoon. Train 3, last car in the afternoon or evening is where it's at. I was a little underwhelmed at rope drop but we came back. Their other coasters all run great, and I was surprised how much I liked cheetah hunt, but it's a crowd magnet.
