I have never heard of them. Are they regional? I’ll have to look next time I grocery shop.

Takis are extremely popular where I live. They are spicy, but flavorful. I like the avocado flavored ones.

Seen these when I've been over in the States but never tried them. Would be willing to give them a go though, love a hot and spicy crisp.

I hate Takis! They taste like chemicals to me.

I actually banned Takis, along with all other chips with dyes, from my classroom. The food coloring would go from the students' fingers to their instruments, staining the instruments. I called the dyes "Takis Blood." The school finally banned them as well because they were ruining chrome books with the "Takis" blood.

The dyes also get all over the students' clothes and if not washed right away, stain the clothes. Many of our students didn't have access to washing machines so there were a lot of red fingerprints on pants legs, where the student had wiped their fingers after eating the disgusting chips.

I LOVE hot/spicy. I found that I detest lime flavoring in foods... I'll pass on the Takis, thanks.

Somewhere gave out free small sample bags once. I tried them and was not a fan. The bag was purple from what I recall.

I tried them once at a snack bar at an outdoor festival. I could only eat a few before I threw the rest of the bag away.

No, no, no! I said on another thread that I can't wait until this hot & spicy trend is over. It's the HEAT I can't stand, which is a SENSATION more than a flavor. The fact that you say your teens never liked anything else hot & spicy, but ate these along with the other teens, suggests to me, yeah, it was a trendy thing to do. To experience the heat.

I don't care for any food I have to fight through to eat.

I had never heard of Takis. But I instantly began aware of the snack when it was part of a clue in the NYT game - Connections.

Yep, that’s when I first heard about them too, only very recently. Never had them and can’t eat spicy hot food, so I’ll pass.

Not seen them here in the UK but we have a good friend called Takis in Athens, does that count?

My mother discovered Takis Peanuts when CVS had a sale on them and she tried them and found them very unappealing and has never tried Takis again and I don't get what the big deal is about Takis but they have seemed to add new flavors and new snacks like the Takis Peanuts my mom tried. And when I asked Mom what she thought of Takis she said it was a one and done for her. The Takis Peanuts looked like Cornnuts with chili powder added to them. But when it comes to hot fries I actually prefer Chester Cheetah Hot Fries and also Andy Capp Hot Fries too

I love the "purple bag" ones....my students are ADDICTED to Takis!
