Do you color Easter eggs at your house?
If yes…..are you coloring eggs this year, or did you color them in the past?
(multiple choice)

Poll choice #4 - I tried editing it to say….
We colored Easter eggs with another child when they were younger.
(meaning - stepchild, grandchild, niece or nephew, a friends child and etc)

For Me…….We are not coloring Easter eggs this year.
We have colored them in the past, when my girls were younger, and they had a lot of fun doing this. But now I have no kids here, so no need to do this anymore.

I love coloring easter eggs! I am always down for it.

No coloring this year, we are going on vacation for spring break and leave on Easter. DD has not colored in years, the "too cool for school" mentality. However, if she is like me when she is 16/17 she will find it enjoyable again. :goodvibes

Our kids and my siblings' kids (not so little anymore) all color eggs at my mom's on Easter weekend. It's one of the holiday events that they all still look forward to.

My kids are older, so we no longer color them, but here is my favorite way to do so. I learned this from Martha Stuart many years ago. They are made with silk ties.

You take the muslin out of the tie and cut the tie into pieces that will fit around a raw egg. I use rubberbands and binder clips (binder clips work better) to hold the silk around the egg. The "good side" of the tie should face the egg. Place the eggs into water and boil them until hard.

Cool in cold water and remove the silk from the eggs and below is the result. The solid purple ones are eggs that boiled with no tie on them. The water will turn color and dye the eggs.

These are easy peasy. I used ties that my DH didn't want anymore and I also purchased cheap ones from Sally's.

I did when I was a child and part of the time when my kids were children.
Then we switched to the wrappers you put on them and now we don't do any egg decorating.
Hard boiled for deviled eggs.....but not decorated.
And we hide plastic ones in the yard for the grandkids

I colored them when I was a kid and when my girls were younger, but it’s been a few years now. I am not expecting to do any this year but that could change.

We did when we were kids, my mama continued to do it up until about 10 years before she died. She liked to decorate for every holiday. My son and I did it until he was about 8 and he felt he was too old. Don't do it now.

We always coloured eggs, only time we didn’t was when the 6 sibling believed in the Easter Bunny. Don’t know how my mom sat in the furnace room colouring dozens of eggs herself.

Always did it with my kids on Good Friday . They still do if their home. But now it’s just me and my so I will do a dozen for my Easter Table.
