I’ve had fajitas on my mind lately, because there’s just something so comforting on a cold night, to have that sizzling hot skillet served to you with all that wonderful goodness on it. I can’t say I’m a lover of fajitas, I don’t order them often, but I am a liker of fajitas in the winter and usually get them once each winter. For those that don’t know what fajitas are, here ya go…..


Now that we read up about fajitas, let’s get our sizzle on and tell us today……


What is your opinion of fajitas?
What type of fajitas do you typically enjoy?

For Me……As I mentioned above, I like fajitas, not love fajitas. When I do order fajitas in a restaurant, I typically order chicken fajitas. Truth be told….i would prefer beef/steak, but I hate chewy meat, and many restaurants have chewy beef/steak, so to avoid that, I order chicken, unless I know that I’m at a restaurant that won’t give give me shoe leather if I order beef.

Back in the 90’s, we’d make them at home every Friday or Saturday night.
I guess we got sick of them at some point. Now we have them maybe once a year.

I'm not a fan of fajitas. The last time I ate them was when our carry-out order had fajitas instead of enchiladas. I prefer chicken over other meats.

I like them. Marie makes a few times a year, I order at restaurants a few times a year. Like beef, chicken. Don't think I've had pork or shrimp.

The opening of a fajita takeout shop in the ‘90’s was the catalyst for my love of Mexican food which branched out into world cuisine. It’s been a fun ride.

As a person who now rarely eats cheese, fajitas are usually a safe option for me when dining out. I prefer beef but chicken is usually less caloric, so I often opt for poultry. I saw pork on there, but living in Texas, if you see something fajita-esque on the menu and it involves pork, it will be Carnitas. I love a restaurant that can properly make it, but some places are definitely better than others. Not a fan of seafood or just plain veggies when it comes to fajitas.

Yes! Give me ALL the meat, and ALL the veggies except green peppers -- just don't care for them.

I use red, yellow, or orange peppers in all my recipes. Green are too bitter for me.

I never order them because DH HATES the smell and the "stinking" everyone around it. He complains, not worth ordering.
