Not a big drinker to begin with but whiskey is a hard no for me. :crazy2:
Canadian whiskey (specifically Canadian Club and Crown Royal, those are the only ones I've had) is the only kind I've found that I can drink. Every other kind tastes way too much and gross.

Never heard of them. I like an occasional drink but don't want to fill up the refrigerator with a lot of seldom used alcohol. Many mixed drinks use 1oz or this or that and then you end up with a bunch of partial bottles that just take up refrigerator space the rest of the time.
I don't keep any liquor in the fridge.

The only thing we do is keep vodka in the freezer, for no other reason than that is how we prefer it. Everything else is kept room temp.

the kind of thing that sounds good when you're on vacation, but then you get home and wonder why you bought it.
There are sooooo many things like that, dad. I think Disney Corp created that concept.

Two examples of items like that were a carved wooden head from a Jamaica trip, many years ago, purchased on the beach, along with a machete :confused3 from the same trip. After about 6 months, we asked each other, "why?"

I don't drink it, but I have flavored whiskey on my Amazon wish list titled "In Case I Become a Railroad Hobo".
Of course I had to include:

I drink alcohol, but I don't like whiskey in any flavor!

DH likes Scotch, he buys his own.

i keep my creme de cassis in the refrigerator. Kir Royale is a special occasion favorite around our house!

I have tried quite a few flavored bourbons/whiskeys
There are some brands I like much more than others
My favorite is Barenjager Honey & Bourbon...it's Barenjager honey liqueur mixed with bourbon-it is so smooth and smells amazing

I don't drink whiskey. To me, most liquor tastes like rubbing alcohol, and I have to have it mixed into a cocktail and not be the dominant flavor.

Other for me. Strictly a beer drinker. Real beer that tastes like beer. No flavored beers🤮. I don’t drink hard liquor at all.

I prefer boubon, followed by scotch, but I like flavored whiskeys. I buy the nip size to try them out and see if we like it enough to keep on hand. So far, the only "big" bottles we've purchased have been maple, honey, or vanilla. I like peach and apple, but we'd only use those in mixed drinks so we don't have a full sized bottle of those. THe maple, honey, and vanilla whiskeys I'd drink straight, over ice. Maple is my favorite, but unfortunately nobody seems to be making it anymore.

Trip to Louisville/Bourbon Trail is being considered for next summer. Bonus points in that two of DH's brothers live in the area, so we could make it a family visit so vacation isn't all about the booze... 🥃🥃🥃

I am not a whiskey person. I am a rum gal.

However, I have tried flavored whiskeys. The one whiskey cocktail I actually liked was the Ottawa Apple from Le Cellier at Epcot. Dh got and told me I had to give it a try. That was crafted with Crown Royal Maple, which sadly is no longer made. Last time we went they replaced the whiskey brand and it was not enjoyable. So we learned to craft it at home with adding a smidge of real maple syrup to the cocktail before we shake it.

Whiskey already has flavors, many of them. No need to add artificial gunk to it.

You don't have to artificially flavor it. My husband actually made his own cherry bourbon and peach bourbon. My nephew was the only one who liked the peach. My dad and husband really loved the cherry, I thought it was ok. Again, that liquor isn't my drink of choice.

Great minds... I was posting something similar while you were posting this. Sad that they stopped making the maple.

I really enjoyed that maple. Dh found it sporadically walking past Duty Free in Minneapolis/St Paul airport a few years back. He said the box was crushed, but the bottle was fine. He was so sad he couldn't buy it as he wasn't on an international flight. He tried though, lol.

We have gone into some seedy looking liquor joints around here hoping they had a bottle still, no luck yet.

*had to fix my spelling :)

Never tried flavored whiskeys. I don't drink whiskey, although I have a little left in a bottle I was given 43 years ago as a Christmas gift. My brother used to take a shot out of it once in a while, but mostly I keep around for when I catch a cold. I take a shot before bed instead of going out and buying Nyquil.

It's been years since I've had Skrewball peanut butter whiskey, but thanks to this thread I just had to pick up a bottle when I went shopping today.

I'm glad I went out before y'all started posting about maple whiskey, or I might have had to buy some of that, too.:drinking1

Not sure if fireball is whiskey but I like that. I’ve had peach crown too and that was pretty good. Not really a big drinker.

I've tried a few different ones. Fireball is my favorite flavored one. The honey kind tasted too much like cough medicine. We tried Skrewball Peanut Butter and it was just okay.

If you found maple whiskey I would have Venmo'd you $$ to ship it to me. :rotfl: (dh and I like that Ottawa Apple cocktail that much!)
