How often do you use curbside pickup at stores?

ETA….this would be for anywhere that offers it, and you are choosing to use it. Doesn’t include places during COVID that didn’t give you a choice.

For Me….Never have and I probably never will.
The only time that this service would suit MY needs is if I am physically unable to walk into the store.

*Inspiration for today’s poll - me going grocery shopping today, and when I told a friend what I was doing today she said she always does curbside pickup because she doesn’t want to go in the store (not because of COVID). She says curbside is faster, which is true, but I still like picking out my own groceries, especially my produce. My neighbor uses curbside pickup at every store that offers it.

I’ve used it a few times ONLY to keep me from spending EVEN more money in Target than what I already am buying groceries once a month
Because if I go - often it’s by myself so it’s hey let’s look at ( insert dept here) and three hours later …. Well you know what I’m saying - I have new clothes / towels / rugs etc - and I’ve purchased Christmas gifts / bday gifts all kinds of stuff !
So yes I’ve done curbside and also I’m doing online ordering so I don’t go shopping by myself as it’s a fun hobby I’m stopping !! Not letting Target get me Haa Haa

I only use it for bigger grocery orders. I noticed it saves me a lot of money but I do forget a couple of things each time so I end up having to go back to the store anyway.

I used it once for groceries, but felt very odd sitting in the driver seat (as a somewhat fit/active 40yr) watching someone else load my items. If this had been an option when I had babies I definitely would have used it.

I use it sometimes at Target if I need a few things and I have a crazy day. It does keep the impulse buys at bay.

I never use it at the grocery store since I like to pick out my own produce and to some extent my own meat and seafood. I will get other grocery store items at Target though—frozen foods, canned goods etc.

It does feel lazy, but sometimes it helps me get through the day a little easier than not doing it.

We used it a few times at the start of Covid.....only for restaurants, never for grocery stores.

Never have for any stores, have for pizza. Most of the grocery stores in our area always show not available when I look at them.

I said never have/never will, but that is not strictly true, now that I'm reading the thread. We used it once during Covid, when Olive Garden first re-opened and curbside was the only option. Also used it once at Walmart during DD's wedding weekend. I was at the rental venue the night before the wedding, realized we needed additional tent/canopy coverage, and was 50 miles from the nearest Walmart. DH was in the same town as the Walmart that had the canopies I wanted in stock, as he had to work all day. I knew if I described what I wanted he'd NEVER find it, so I did online order with curbside pick-up, to ease his stress and mine!

Never tried it. DH used it some at Best buy, or stores like that, but only when the stores were actually closed. Never tried grocery pickup. In laws are still using it, and enjoy it.

I’ve only ever used it once and even at that, it wasn’t for myself. An out-of-town relative ordered a Christmas gift for us from a local place and sent me instructions for picking it up. I’ve only ever used Insta-cart once too and because it didn’t go well, never tried again. There are many stores here that put in sections in the parking lots for curb side pick-up and I notice those spots are very rarely used now. I also notice far, far fewer Insta-cart order pickers in the aisles when I’m shopping than there were 6 months ago.

I've never used it for groceries. I have used it a few times at Home Depot for large items (air conditioner, salt for the water softener).

We used it during the peak of Covid but are now back to going in. I prefer going in and doing it myself. I don’t find it a chore like some do. My husband hates it but sometimes comes with me if we are out and want to stop and pick up a few things Up.

I've only used it a few times - once for Home Depot, once for Dick's Sporting Goods (when it was the only way to get something from them) and a few times from restaurants.

I voted other because I've used curbside at Walmart since before Covid. I really don't like shopping at the Walmart close to me. People act like when they walk thru those doors they can be as rude and mean as they want. It's strange because I'll go to other Walmarts and that's not the case at all. I was excited when they brought curbside to our store because I could finally shop at Walmart again. At other stores and restaurants, I only used curbside at the height of the pandemic. If I'm really busy, I'll still use Instacart, but only in a pinch.

We used it a few times at the beginning of Covid and didn't really like it. Besides with the amount of food teen boys eat it took forever to create the list online and find what we wanted. Easier just to go inside and get it done.

Have never used it for anything. I add our groceries onto our son and daughter-in-law’s order and she gets curbside pickup. We rarely go or order out so have never used it at a restaurant. Don’t really shop often at all either. If we don’t absolutely need it then we don’t spend the money. Then it’s usually just run in, get what we need and get out.

I used it a few times when it was the only option during COVID, but I didn't love the experience and wouldn't choose it myself.

Tried it once for groceries and wasn’t happy with the quality of produce they selected. If I order online it’s delivered to my house.
