I love Campbell's cream of mushroom soup, made with milk. Also their tomato, also made with milk. I crumble Ritz crackers into it (salt? What choo talking about, Willis?) so it's nice and thick. Comfort food from childhood, I guess.

We are big soup eaters here, and have a fresh pot of homemade soup almost weekly. However, we also have canned, Campbell's or Progresso, for easy lunches for DD to take to work in her thermos. Sometimes we'll buy another brand, especially if there is an interesting flavor (roasted squash, for example), but stick primarily to Campbells and Progresso. DD loves the Italian Wedding Soup!

Pea casserole? Share the recipe? We just had green bean casserole at Friendsgiving last week.
It's just like the green bean kind, but with peas.

I mix frozen peas with cream of mushroom soup (and sometimes an extra little can of mushrooms if I have one on hand) plus some French-fried onions, like these:

I do them about halfway in the microwave to save time, then stir, add a bunch more fried onions to the top, and finish in the oven at 350 or 375 depending on what else I'm making.

Soup sales soared during the pandemic. The soup aisle in the two stores I frequent were more wiped out than the toilet paper aisle! It is the perfect emergency standby food. We have Campbells, Progresso, Great Value and Old El Paso (they started selling a line of Mexican themed soups) on the shelf. Great for lunch, dinner and cooking. Currently have 17 cans on the shelf.
My dad worked in a cannery, however his cannery only made canned fruit and vegetables, but we had a huge Campbells Soup plant here that recently closed. So canned food has always been a part of my life.

I had some older family members that worked at Campbells in Camden, NJ way, waaayyy back in the day.
My aunt worked for Campbell’s in Camden after her kids were in junior high.

At the time Godiva Chocolates were a Campbell’s brand. She was able to get over runs or slightly misshapen pieces for really cheap. Or sometimes slightly damaged boxes. A box that cost maybe $15 at the time was $3 in the employee store.

But then production was shifted to other Campbell’s facilities.

It is so easy to make your own soups without all the sodium and crap in them.
One thing you can't do is substitute home made in for condensed in your recipes. But you can still duplicate those other recipes with other methods just as EZ as you can make your own soups. And they are packed with all kinds of flavor without the excessive sodium. Things just become much more flavorful when you're using fresh. By the way just remember to bang a couple of extra pots and pans and get a clean one wet and put it in the dish drainer to make the family think you've been working hard.

We usually have a few cans on hand just in case, and then rarely use them. We had a couple of Amy's until I donated them during a food drive last week. We do have some Rao's and we ate a couple of those fairly recently. They're probably my favorite right now. We'll also occasionally get the Panera refrigerated soup, or whole foods has refrigerated soups as well.

I like canned soup but eat way less of it than I used to, having moved more to homemade soups.

When I occasionally buy canned now, the most likely suspects are Campbell’s tomato, and Progresso split pea or lentil.

The three types I make most often are a cauliflower and pea soup, minestrone, and a smoked salmon chowder. I currently have some minestrone in the refrigerator, as well as a head of cauliflower to make that one once the other is gone.

I love Campbell's tomato and rice but it's hard to find around here. When I do see it I buy a few cans to keep at work for lunch.

I might also buy Progresso if it's on sale, but I prefer Campbells. Also, I once cut myself on the top of very-hard to open Progresso can, so I hold a grudge.
This reminds me of when they started having those pull top soup cans, i had a can where the pull tab ripped off and I couldn't open the can (for some.reason my can opener wouldn't open it). I fired off an email to Progresso, and to their credit they sent me a couple of coupons for free cans of soup along with a little tool to use to open the pull cans. I don't use it much, but I still have that little hook tool.

I no longer eat canned soup. I used to eat Progresso but not any longer.

No, I did complain to Progresso becasue several of their cans had been hard to open, and I had thought "I'm gonna cut mself on one of these one day." Sure enough, I did - it was a pretty deep one! Anwyay, they asked how much of the product was left - I had eaten it. I said I didn't want coupons, but wanted them to fix their cans. They sent me coupons anyway. To be fair, I haven't had trouble with one in a while, but I don't get them as much either.

I’ll heat and eat Campbell’s Double Noodle soup when I’m not feeling good - I also use Campbell’s Cream of Celery and Tomato soups in cooking…

I only eat tomato soup as a bowl soup. Nothing better than a bowl of soup just stuffed with crackers. YUM. I have a few things that I cook in/with soup.

Oops, forgot to say my brand is Campbells only.

Although it is not exactly canned, the Panera soup in the plastic containers is also one of my favorites (the tomato and the potato)

I like Campbell's homestyle chicken noodle, and Chunky Ham & Bean is my favorite. The other Chunky soups aren't very good, but I love the ham & bean, with a drizzle of french dressing on top...

I would have to say that Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup is the only soup I like and I used to have it when I would be sick but when winter comes I look forward to Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup for dinner. I once tried Campbell's Double Noodle Soup but I dislike it because i'm not a vegetable fan and won't eat soup that has vegetables in it. Mom used to like Progresso Soup but I think they have watered down the broth because my mom noticed it when she last bought some. But Mom does like the Progresso Italian Style Wedding soup. Dad on the other hand is obsessed and I mean obsessed with a capital O with Campbell's Chunky Soups and likes every flavor of Campbell's Chunky Soup and when we would go to the supermarket our shopping cart would be full of Campbell's Chunky Soup because of Dad. And when Dad isn't eating soup he adores Snow's Clam Chowder.and can easily eat two cans of it

I love canned soup, but only Campbell's. My favorites are their double noodle and pea soups. But, I do not like chunky soup.
