I have been having such a taste for a bagel lately - I just love them, especially with cream cheese. I also enjoy a fresh bagel to make a sandwich with.

What is your opinion of bagels and how often do you eat them?
(multiple choice)

*For those that eat them less than once a month (some may eat them once a year), please choose the “other” option. I wish I had more than 10 options - mods, can we change that? I’d love about 15.

For Me…..As I said above, I do love them, but sadly I don’t eat them - too many carbs for me. I’m one of those people that gain weight when I just look at certain foods - it’s very annoying! The last time I had a bagel was 3 years ago - I treated myself to one when we were at a softball tournament - it was so good!

I have always loved bagels. I have been on a real bagel kick for the last month or so after discovering the low carb ones. I have been having one pretty much every day now. :thumbsup2

I like just the plain bagels with plain cream cheese.

I love them! I try not to have them tooooo often, but I'd say at least once a month.
(It's been more often in the past, but I'm finding carbs less friendly than in my youth.😆 )

I really like them! There wasn’t a good poll choice for how often I eat them, though. I don’t routinely buy them; it can be months in between. But when I do pick up a package, I’ll eat at least one every day until they’re gone.

I used to love the blueberry bagels from Au Bon Pan. They were so good! But then I switched to a gluten-free diet for quite a few years to cure some stomach issues. I've gone back to a normal diet but can't eat foods like bagels without feeling sick. ;)

I like them okay, though they aren't my first choice. I really do dislike bagel snobs though and people who make them out to be so special, especially only if they are made in New York City. There is kind of a culture around them that makes my like them less. I'll have one if people bring them into the office or something, but I'd rather have a doughnut or English muffin to be honest.

I haven't had one in years.
Like you said, too many carbs.
I would rather have good sourdough bread anyway.

My favorite is sesame seed. Either with light cream cheese or butter.

Recently I was thinking, as a kid/teen I only remember plain or egg bagels. When did sesame, poppy seed, everything, etc. become popular? And in recent years there are those rainbow or other “exotic” varieties.

I live 10 miles from Manhattan, seriously bagels outside this area are horrible! They’re like bread shaped donuts. We get our bagels from bagel stores and wrap and freeze what we’re not eating asap, like bakery bread it’s not good 24 hours later if left out. I eat about a dozen bagels a year, just too filling, but I love them, especially fresh.

They’ve always been popular here, I can‘t imagine a bagel store with only 2 varieties.

Love them, but don't have them on a regular basis. Right now I've got a bag of plain mini bagels, so I've been having one of those for breakfast several days out of the last few weeks, with veggie cream cheese. They're a good size for me - the regular ones are really a little to big. But I don't always have them on hand. I rarely get them out, but if I do, it's usually an everything bagel with jalapeno cream cheese.
