ToT is the current icon of the park - well, technically The Hollywood Tower Hotel is the icon and the Tower of Terror is the ride inside of it. I love it personally, but of the four it is probably the easiset to say good-bye to as the park is less dependent on it.
Remember the Earful Tower? That's what I always think of in relation to the Studios, but I guess it's been a few years...

Yeah, but that's gone. So is the big hat that nobody liked. The Tower is the current icon as used in merchandising and logos, etc.

I have a problem with this poll because you don't really specify is it just that the park icon will be replaced or the entire ATTRACTION goes?

If its the entire attraction then Tree of Life. I don't care about It's Tough to be a Bug.

But if we are simply saying the icon that represents the park then I'd go TOT because I liked the Earful Tower as the park icon.

Tower of Terror. The other's, in my opinion, are icons from the days that their respective parks opened. They have never changed from icon status. In the Studios, there has been the Earffel Tower, then the BAH and now the Tower I guess. The park name has even changed from MGM to Hollywood. Epcot's name has technically changed also, but not as dramatically.

...OP, you are so correct....this IS a tough one! [like picking my favorite DS out of the three!]

Speaking of the Tree of Life, I am interesting in seeing the new Zootopia attraction that will be going into it.

For the poll question, this is a tough one. I agree with everyone who said that Tower of Terror really doesn't "fit" as a park icon. I think you could keep it as an attraction, and have a different park icon. I did like the Earful Tower when it was there, and it seemed more of an icon to me.

Oh, come on - like anyone was going to say the castle!
Someone did.

ToT for me. As others have said it just is the "least" as an icon of the 4. Not even considering the ride/attraction/restaurant associated with it. If we are talking just the associated attraction I would get ride of Tree of Life.

My pick was Tree of Life simply because it is pretty difficult to actually get up next to it to see the full artistry and detail. Even though it is a beautiful icon of the park, I don't think the impact on the park's overall vibe or magic level would be much depleted. Although that may simply be my love of AK as a park--not having the tree present would not really impact my enjoyment of the rest of the attractions.

Tower of Terror is one of the last true original IP rides at Disney that really transports you to a different time and place. The detail level is absolutely phenomenal. I'm also a fan of the movie (it's a little kitschy but honestly not as bad as you might think) so the lore runs deep for me.

It was actually pretty close between Tree of Life and Cinderella Castle. Part of that is because I'm nostalgic for a time before there was a giant stage on the castle, when the full interior murals were viewable. I was in complete awe over the artistry of those mosaics. But seeing the castle in the distance when you enter Main Street is honestly just one of those emotional moments when you realize that you've entered a place of fantasy.

I thought about TOT because it's the least iconic, but I ultimately voted Spaceship Earth because we always skip it anyway. 🙁 (DH thinks it's just there to suck crowds, so he won't do it on the way in, and is always too tired in the way out.)
Too tired to ride a relaxing, quiet ride? That's almost always what we do on our way out (dh doesn't care about fireworks)... just a good way to wind down the day. Send him out to the car to wait while you ride it on the way out next time. ;)

I agree completely.
In fact…my girls, when they were a baby and toddler, would nap on this ride in the afternoon. The CMs were always so nice and let us stay on so they could sleep. We’d ride it 3 times in a row. I’m not going to lie - my DH and I would close our eyes too. So relaxing!

I am torn between Spaceship Earth and Tower of Terror. We only very occasionally ride Spaceship Earth and two of my kids really like Tower of Terror. I do like the symbolism of Spaceship Earth though.

Honestly, that was my first thought when I thought about it from an attraction perspective, since there is no attraction attached to it. But it is the icon of the park and the company as a whole, so I guess you can’t get rid of that. Where would everyone get engaged? 🤣

If going by attraction aspect ~ Tree of Life.
I cannot tell you the last time we did A Bug's Life. But I can tell you we immediately head to TOT at early entry in hopes of getting a few rides in! ;)

Going by overall park aesthetic and symbolism ~ Tower of Terror.
HS has had so many transformations but the Theater has been there for all of it, so that goes for my symbol of the park. The other 3 are so well recognized that even non Disney people will know and say it's the "Disney Castle", the "Epcot Golf Ball", and the "Big Tree at the Disney Zoo."

Too tired as in "feet hurt too much for even a short line, pleeeeeeease no more people, needs to go back to the room now" kind of tired. And of course that feeling usually hits deep in the park - so by the time we pass the ball, we are already on a mission.
