Are you a sun bather?
If yes….how much time do enjoy laying out in the sun?
Also….are you a man or woman? It’s always interesting to see the difference between men’s and women’s answers.
(multiple choice)

For Me…..I’m a total sunbather and I lay in the sun a lot this time of year. When I lay out I try to be outside for at least 2 hours - anything less than that is not worth putting on loads of sunscreen for. Since I have a pool - most times I’m outside all afternoon - sometimes about 5 hours - I only do that on a hot weekend day when I can float in the pool. On warm days, I’ll still lay out and read, but just not as long. Even at my DD19’s games I would always choose to sit in the sun instead of the shade. Summer is the only time of year that I really enjoy taking time out for myself, and I prepare for it all Spring by getting as much done around the house as possible.

I don’t like sunbathing. I sunburn easily so being in the sun too much often turns out badly. If I’m stuck sitting in the sun, I get hot, then that’s all I can think about.

Total sunbather here back in the day. I could do it all day long. I can get out there at 9 o’clock in the morning and be out there till 7 o’clock at night. If I had a pool I’d be out there every day all day long - if srt up my laptop in the pool 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I like having a tan And I tan very easily and get very dark Very quickly

Never liked direct sunlight on my skin. Got burned real bad back when I was 19. Fast forward to my early 40's and had a brush with melanoma cancer that almost killed me. Now in my early 70's and am dealing with squamous and basil cancers . Ain't worth it.

I kinda enjoy it. I burn like crazy but do like being all warm in the sun. I usually look like a crazy person and cover myself with towels to try to avoid sun damage. Now that I'm in my 30s, anti-aging is on the forefront of my mind and I slather myself, especially my face, with SPF.

My husband is Finnish and LOVES baking in the sun.

I am a person who does not like to just sit around whether indoors or outdoors especially on vacation am always on the go I get bored just sitting on a beach or at the pool and not really into swimming. I do enjoy a short walk after I get off of work with DH and our dog.

Nope, I don't tan, I burn. I wear long sleeve swim shirts, wide brimmed hat, and if I'm not swimming I'll often have lightweight pants on if I'm out in the sun. Even if I did tan easily, I don't want to do that kind of damage to my skin.

Plus I get bored quickly just lying around in the sun. It's too bright for me to read outside like that. I'm happy to go boogie boarding, bobbing around in the water, playing beach games, beach walking/running, etc, but I've never wanted to just lie around.

I used to like to lay in the sun for a few hours. But I have what I call "burn, freckle, peel" kind of skin that really doesn't get tan. Now I have to limit the sun because of mild skin cancer - mostly basal cell carcinoma. I wear a long sleeve rash shirt when I am in a pool or lake and it works great to keep me safe from burning but lets me hang out in the water. :)

Have never liked sunbathing.....I don't like just being outside. I like doing things. I don't like sitting in the sun anyway. I'm not much of an outdoor person.
Too hot here anyway.

I’m not a lay in the sun person (thanks to my Irish grandparents lol) I just spent a week at an all inclusive in Dominican Republic (got home at midnight last night) we had a great time but if I wasn’t going with 13 friends I would never have picked a week laying in the sun. I spent a lot of time in the shade by the pool or on the beach.

I never lay in the sun. If I am near a pool or the ocean I am always under a sun umbrella. Covered in sunscreen, hat, swim tee covering my shoulders and upper arms if not long sleeves. I have fair skin which burns easily and several relatives have had skin cancers removed. Lots of articles recently on how most of skin aging is caused by UV rays.

I like to sit out in the sun for a couple hours a day in the summer (or winter, when on vacation). I need a book or something else to occupy my time, though - I get bored otherwise. Fortunately, I have my mom's Sicilian skin tone.

My Dsis has had melanoma several times due to sun exposure. I was never in the sun as much as her, but I was a baby oil sunbather when I was a teenager. Now, when I go to an island, I come home as pale as I went.

When we went to Key West Miami in May, I laid out in the shade or under an umbrella. When I'm in the shade, I can stay outside all day with a good book.

When you say sunbathing, I wonder if you mean direct sunlight or outside under an umbrella? I love to sit on the beach but you will find me mostly under an umbrella to prevent burn, in spite of all the sunscreen I use.
