Saw it, liked it and I HATE STITCH!

I thought it was well done for a remake live action. I thought the casting was excellent. I thought the animation was good. But I still don't like Stitch.

I don’t think I’ll see it. I have a grandson that stays with us on a regular basis and sometimes I put kid movies on for him. So, I guess I’m a maybe?
Hollywood has run out of ideas and that includes Disney. I’m over the recycling of ideas and characters.

For the live action remakes, I'm fine waiting until Disney+ to see them. I've seen everything from great to terrible reviews for the new movie.

I was happy to read your review even though I have never been able to watch the whole original movie. I decided that I definitely want to see it, but I think I will go to it on an upcoming DCL cruise.

I saw it and liked it. The little girl that played the part of Lilo, was adorable! I loved the original Lilo & Stitch movie.

I saw the original, good, fun movie. I think it was at a Chicago DIS meet way back then, Sandy. Did you see the original at a meet, theater and food court or similar?

I did not see the new one, possibly may catch some day on D+

We are looking forward to seeing the movie and would have gone to the theater to watch it but we are going on a Disney cruise at the end of the month and plan to watch it aboard the ship since we have 4 sea days.

I think it is more what makes money? The three top grossing movies last week were old material. They have already made 6x their production budget and it will keep going up.

Folks don't support more original movies IN THEATER anymore. When tickets are $18-26 plus concession I don't think they want to risk a movie.

That makes two of us. We have D+ so maybe someone else in the house will watch it and I'll catch a glimpse.
My DS lives for movies and we do have A-List ..... but I go to movies I don't want to go. Sadly Smurfs is coming up and that will be PURE TORTURE!

Blame moviegoing audiences, not Disney.
I mean I do blame both but nowadays I kind of blame audiences more. I have friends who hate the remakes as much as I do but they still go see them anyway (or more so they went to see the Little Mermaid one and nothing else). Guys, you need to stop supporting this if you want Disney to stop.

Better yet, DO go support original movies. Anyone going to go see Elio? Anybody? Right. Okay. I guess we'll see.

Haven't seen it and haven't seen the original either. For some reason the original animated version passed me by when it was first released (I was a teenager more interested in horror films), and I've never gotten round to seeing it since. I think the live action version of Stitch looks cute and incredibly well done, so i might give it a go when its on Disney+

No, I wouldn’t have been there. I joined The DIS in 2004. I bet that was a fun time

I have to laugh any time this complaint is brought up. Do people not realize how many of their beloved "classic" Disney/Hollywood movies are actually adaptations of other works? Hollywood never really had many ideas of their own.

Of course it’s about money. Where I’d to go with this discussion would probably end up on the Controversial Thread. And, that’s not my cup of tea here on the Disboards. Now in person, yes…LOL.
