QVC is a free-to-air television network, and shopping channel that specializes in televised home shopping. Some people absolutely love QVC, especially this time of year. My MIL buys so much from QVC and if she likes it, then that means everyone gets one - LOL! So I’m curious today……

Do watch QVC?
If yes…..do you buy items?
Do you buy for yourself, or gifts for others?

* I checked to see if other countries can buy from QVC. I found that there is a QVC international which is available in several countries.



For Me……No, I do not buy from QVC nor do I watch it. I’m not against it. I just rarely watch regular TV, and when I do, I don’t wanna sit and watch that. I do think QVC is great for some people like my mother-in-law.

I don’t watch it very often upon occasion if they have somebody on there that I’m interested in I will watch it but what I will do when I’m looking for a certain product I will check their site to see if they have it and if it’s cheaper on their site Then on Amazon or some other site and chances are sometimes QVC has it cheaper and I’ll order it from QVC They do run good deals upon occasions on some things that I do purchase these are items that are strictly for myself
In the past I have purchased gifts for a family member from QVC and again they were running a really good deal on it

Years ago, I used to watch it and other shopping channels, but I stopped a long time ago.
I bought quite a few things in the past.

I'll add I watched HSN more. This was before we had we had reliable internet.
I bought a lot of jewelry. I still have most of it.

I voted other. My sister saw a deal on a basic cell phone and told me about. I bought the phone. That's my entire contact with QVC.

I watch every so often when they are selling Christmas related items. Always laugh at the overly excited sales pitch people. I often wonder if you would be nearly as excited seeing that same product on a shelf in the store?............probably not. Wonder too if they don't exaggerate how many have been sold just to get more people to buy that product? Have never bought any of their items.

I voted other. I really had no idea of what QVC is, until I read the replies here. I have a very vague recollection of this, from when DD was little, but nothing that registered on my radar when I read the poll question.

I don't watch it.

But I have an elderly mother who is fixated on it and HSN. She recently got a new television, and I got the phone call that when it got programmed, it was missing HSN and QVC (apparently there is QVC1/QVC2/HSN1/HSN2). I had to drive up to re-program it and got it fixed. She has purchased items through them.

Voted "watch occasionally." DW watches it now & then, if I'm in the room I watch for a minute or two. She makes purchases once in a while, I've never bought anything from QVC. Over the weekend she bought a device for digital photo enhancing and storage.

My mom used to watch/buy from QVC quite regularly back in the day (and by "back in the day" I mean before internet shopping was a thing... before Amazon even existed or when it was still just an online bookstore.) However, I've never really watched and/or don't watch now.

However, a couple of years ago, there was something my mom put on her Christmas List. You could get it multiple places. I googled prices and one of the results was QVC. QVC's price was SLIGHTLY better than other places, but they also offered $10 off for first-time buyers, so I got it from there. That's the only gift I've bought from QVC and I got to it by googling, not by watching...

I do not watch, but I would periodically turn on HSN back in our early days of having cable. I was a kid and it was novel to me to see what often felt like a 24/7 infomercial. I had never seen so much Capodimonte in my entire life. The novelty quickly wore off. I used to be friends with a guy that watched a lot of it. Every now and then I'd be shopping for something and he'd be like "whoaaaa... that was just on QVC/HSN." Most times, the price was not good, but I think my girls' Hays rolling carryons came from one of them. They were those little egg shaped hard sided rolling pieces. One was Disney princess and the other was Pooh. I don't think it was any great savings but I couldn't find them anywhere else.

No, I don’t watch it, have never been interested. But a couple of my family members love it, and I’ve received gifts purchased from QVC. My sister has visited their studio in PA.

I remember QVC... I didn't remember it was still a thing. Some of my parents friends were faithful shoppers. I remember watching it some as a kid, but my parents wouldnt let me buy anything.

It is one of the channels I wish I could block on my TV, but of course, since QVC and those shopping channels PAY to be on the cable and satellite systems, you CAN'T block them.
No I don't watch QVC or any of the others. My wife's step father LOVED QVC and was always ordering all kinds of stuff, coins, junk jewelry, a portable TV with a 2 inch screen. He passed away 30 years ago so really haven't thought about QVC. Hard to believe it has been around over 30 years. QVC and it's competitors are a good source of bloopers on YouTube when their junky products fail live on TV during the sales demos.

I used to watch it more often more or less just to get a feel for how clothes looked on different body types although I now realize that like in a fashion show they will pin things and make it all look perfect.

Now if there's a particular item I want to see I'll search to see if there was a video on youtube that I can watch a quick segment.
