It used to be on in our house every day a looooong time ago because my mom had a crush on one of the hosts, who's name was Jeff. I can't remember what I did last week but I remember this random guy's name.

I never watch it now.

I do not watch QVC, but one time my mom was watching it and called in to buy me a present. It was a Marvel Comics poster signed by Stan Lee and other artists. Stan Lee himself was on the channel shilling for it. When my mom called, they asked if she wanted to talk to Stan on the air. 😲 She said that her son would love to talk to him - she ran into my room and handed me the phone. "Here, talk to Stan Lee." Wow! So I did, somewhat in shock. It was only a few seconds and I think he thought I was like 10 years old (I was not! 🤣). It was a pretty great nerd moment. It spoiled the surprise, but I still have that poster hanging in my house today.

I watch maybe every few months for a while but I haven’t purchased anything from it in at least a decade.

My mother was a QVC/HSN fanatic. After she died I found at least two dozen unopened boxes or shipping envelopes from them in her closet. Inexpensive jewelry, clothing, small appliances of dubious usefulness, etc. etc. etc.

Someone mentioned Capidomonte figurines and ceramic things. I had never heard of it before HSN. My mother bought a few pieces, but they were never to my taste.

ExH derisively called it Crap-adomonte.

My answer is a little weird. I don't watch QVC, but I *do* buy from QVC. I have found that QVC's Denim and Co brand swimsuits fit me, so when I need a new one I'll go to QVC (or eBay ;)) and buy one. I will watch the videos that describe the items to determine which one I like more.

My grandmother and aunt had a collection of Capodimonte from QVC you would not believe but I have no idea where their treasures are now.

This thread made me check out QVC and boy did I make myself a find, for the person who has everything I present:

I don't watch but tend to shop fairly often but only because my MIL works for QVC/HSN, etc. and gets a good discount. ;)

I checked off that I do not watch QVC.

I also checked off Other, because I’m curious about it and intend to check it out some day! :happytv:

I know what you mean…Other than my Macy’s cargo capris - I get almost all of my clothes and shoes from QVC…but I don’t necessarily watch it…

I used to watch QVC a good amount. I'd tune it to some specific shows for clothing, beauty products, and some food shows. I'd buy from there often I'd say. My interest keeps going down. Prices have gotten ridiculous. QVC definitely has shipping and IT issues. Many complaints. I frequent their community forum often. My Mom liked QVC.

QVC is a free-to-air television network, and shopping channel that specializes in televised home shopping. Some people absolutely love QVC, especially this time of year. My MIL buys so much from QVC and if she likes it, then that means everyone gets one - LOL! So I’m curious today……

Do watch QVC?
If yes…..do you buy items?
Do you buy for yourself, or gifts for others?
(multiple choice)

* I checked to see if other countries can buy from QVC. I found that there is a QVC international which is available in several countries.

For Me……No, I do not buy from QVC nor do I watch it. I’m not against it. I just rarely watch regular TV, and when I do, I don’t wanna sit and watch that. I do think QVC is great for some people like my mother-in-law.

I voted no but our MILs could be friends because we often get Christmas gifts from her QVC shopping sprees. Cuddle duds especially. My teens hear the words “I found it on QVC” and recoil when their grandmother gives them a gift. She is not a good gift giver in general, one year she bought her husband & son (my husband) matching velour track suits, so they could wear when they went on walks through the neighborhood together. Needless to say that never happened and the only time my husband wore it was to take a picture in it because I begged him to since it was so funny. He looked ridiculous.

I don’t think I ever really sought out qvc. I did pause on it occasionally when flipping channels if the item that happened to be on was intriguing. But I don’t think I have even stopped on the channel in 10-20 years.

Since it's launch in 1986 QVC has always relied on great deals and terrific satisfaction and when QVC made it's debut in 1986 it has kept the same promise today. My mom sometimes watches QVC for any sales but lately it seems that their biggest seller and "I think this is where QVC makes lots of money in my eyes" is clothing. Because every morning I watch QVC for today's deals and it's almost always clothing and I can't figure out why clothing is QVC's big seller? I remember when every Christmas they would sell kids toys and now you see TONS of Christmas decor being sold on QVC from Christmas trees to ornaments and you can tell QVC puts tons of effort into these sales every year. A second factor that has played a role in why QVC is successful is celebrity products and they have had Joan Rivers Classics clothing which even though Joan is no longer alive is still the top celebrity line of QVC today and then they have Curtis Stone hawking products too and this makes QVC a survivor. But even with HSN and Evine and Amazon QVC still remains #1 in shopping

I watch QVC often but do not buy much. They profess to have great deals, but I am not about to pay $100 for a t-shirt. Susan Graver's clothes look nice but are way too expensive for me. I do enjoy watching when they're cooking.
