When you buy Maple Syrup, what type do you buy for your home?
(multiple choice)

*ETA…..this syrup can be real or imitation.
I buy imitation and whatever is on sale.

For Me…..Always regular syrup,
The last time I bought Lite was when COVID was just hitting the country and everyone was buying groceries to hunker down. All the regular syrup was gone, so I had to buy Lite. It was just ok - not as sweet. I don’t have pancakes very often and when I do I like my syrup sweet - what can I say…..I really do love my sugar :p

❤️❤️❤️I have a jug and it’s ALL mine !! Otherwise DH would eat all of it !! I like it on pancakes and French Toast and use it to make my Salmon just like Artist Point does !!
I also have some homemade maple syrup a friend makes - I have several mason jars of that too !
When I go to Cracker Barrel I always bring home my maple syrup !!!
funny thing I hate that maple candy !! Haa haa

A variety of all of the above - I'm not that picky, but we do have some real maple syrup somewhere in the fridge along with the fake, lite stuff as well.

Ohhh there are so much more interesting dimensions to maple syrup than regular vs. lite. There are grades, there are depths of color, there's "real from a tree" vs. "corn syrup dressed up as maple" vs. "made in a lab."

I don't buy maple syrup very much because I don't eat a lot of hot breakfast food. Usually when I buy maple syrup, it's for a recipe, often a dessert, and the syrup is the sweetener. But when I do, I get the real stuff, Grade A Amber if it's there. Sometimes it's expensive, but it lasts a while in our house because of how sparingly we use it.

I don’t buy real maple syrup. The fake stuff (Mrs. Butterworth’s preferred) is good enough for me. Sometimes I’ll buy lite.
Me either. I like Aunt Jemima, or Pearl Milling Company as it is now known. Often store brand is just as good. On those few occasions when I do feel compelled to buy real maple syrup I always end up disappointed that the “maple” flavour isn’t as strong as the fake stuff.

I'm strongly in the Other category.

We keep all kinds of syrup in the house for pancakes and waffles. I'm better than IHOP.

We always have regular real maple syrup, regular Log Cabin syrup, strawberry syrup, blueberry syrup and then usually some specialty syrup that we've picked up during our travels like blackberry, boysenberry or marionberry.

Since you mentioned IHOP….when we are there, I do enjoy their Pecan syrup. It’s the only time I don’t use the real maple syrup. In our local pancake house, I pay the extra for real maple syrup. They put some sort of other syrup in a glass jar that looks like the real stuff. I pass on that and pay the extra for my own little bottle.
