We've got a bunch (nothing extra large or oceanic, but most of the rest.) We've got a fenced yard and a big dog, so I don't see deer in my yard very often, but I see them "around" quite frequently. (Same with the coyotes. I've never seen them actually in my yard, but there's a creek behind my house and I see them walking along the creek there from time to time.)

Current wildlife confrontations:
-- Something ate a bunch of my flowers last night. I think it was a bunny. There is one that frequently visits.
-- I'm going to have to start bringing my bird feeder in at night. It's one of those squirrel proof ones that's not easy to get into, but something is getting it out of the tree entirely, then working the latch to open it. I suspect raccoons, but I haven't caught them in the act.
-- Last weekend, my neighbor called and said "Don't let your dog out! There are six skunks in your back yard!" Apparently the skunks had been in THEIR yard, and they yelled at them, hoping to get them to go back from whence they came (a piece of farm land that's behind both of our houses), but instead the skunks came through the fence in OUR yard. It was nice of them to give me a heads up at least!

We have the usual suspects that you find in a suburb...but those skunks! They are terrible this year in my neighborhood. I can't open the windows on a nice night for fresh air because the little suckers are busy stinking up the place.

No Ocean creatures and no moose 🫎 but I have just about everything else 🤣🤣
Cougar - seen him twice - seen tracks several times - seen scat more times than I care to mention
Coyotes - pack tried to get into my garage - they seriously tried to get the door open - unbelievable - they were nose in the door trying to get it to go up - shocking 😳
Deer tons and tons upon tons of deer - sadly I’ve seen the coyotes take out a few of those
Rabbits - refer to caption about the deer and the coyotes
Bear 🐻
Chipmunks and squirrels
Snakes - had one in my basement - I’ve seen several different different kind some you don’t wanna mess with
Lizards
Eagles
Canadian geese
Turkeys
Groundhog - I seen the other day the thing was huge - size of a Buick
I saw Wolf last year thankfully he left me alone I was outside with my dog
Raccoons
Possums - had one living in my barbecue grill
Skunks 🦨- had one family in my yard last summer - had sprayed my back porch was so afraid I’d run into him when I took the dog out thankfully that did not happen

I am always concerned when I take my dog out at night because I never know what met be in my backyard- often times it’s just deer. But with that being said deer can be very territorial and mean I’ve had issues on several occasions with them not wanting to leave my yard - we have had stand offs and gotten into arguments with them stomping their little hooves and me standing her stomping my feet and yelling at them trying to get them to leave my yard and then me having to try to get my dog to hurry up because I’m afraid they’re gonna come back in my yard charging at me . I know I won’t win that fight
I always have to be on the lookout for deer charging through my yard especially if they’re running away from something it’s happened on several occasions because when I say I have deer 🦌 I mean I have on the average at least 10 or more at a time I’m my yard so when they go charging by at full speed I don’t want to be out in the yard they’re not the sharpest tools in the box so I don’t wanna be in their way when they’re fleeing something !!😳😳😳 and I definitely don’t wanna run into whatever they’re fleeing !!!
For the most part I do enjoy watching the wildlife in my yard it’s the taking the dog out that causes me issues in scooping my yard🤣🤣

I have a vinyl privacy fence that I had installed as low to the ground as possible. The unintended result is that my back yard is now the safe zone for all the local rabbits to build their nests. Not exactly what I wanted and hopefully I can figure out a solution that works for all of us combined. :)

You guys live in a different world!! 🐻🦌🐺🪱🦂🦖🫎

Here, it's squirrels (mainly grey, because they have been no good for the red ones); rabbits; foxes; deer (but not in our backyard); owls; pheasants; the (very) occasional hare; birds of prey and rogue sheep!

Oh, Racoons are SMART! They do not care about locks or latches. One time we were trying to chatch this feral momma cat so we could get her fixed. Every day we would come out - trap sprung, food gone, no cat! So we watched it one night and this racoon was the culprit. That trap was nothing to him! It reminded me of the racoons in The Great Outdoors. "Why do you think we have these wonderfully articulate fingers?" 🤣

We eventually got freindly enough with momma cat that we were able to just take her. Her three kittens were super sweet though and we got them adopted. She continued to hang around for a while, but no more babies!

Chicago Suburb (Elgin). I was actually in a town park (Lord's Park) and watched a coyote chasing 5 or 6 deer in the park last year. Felt like I was on an episode of Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom.

We have a rabbit in our backyard -- DH is like Elmer Fudd trying to get rid of it -- we've taken 2 or 3 to the forest preserve already. It likes to poop in our yard, and for some reason, our dog likes the poop, and there are parasites. TMI, I know, but there you are.

We've had raccoon in our garage, fox in the yard, and opossum in our driveway, so they are around.

I did mark the reptile part, as I know there are snakes, but I personally haven't seen any.

This will all change when we move to Central Florida next month.

We live on a farm so have deer, raccoons, rabbits, opossums, bald eagles, many back yard type birds. At our property up north we have those plus porcupines, coyotes, squirrels, chipmunks and black bear. Also herons, an occasional loon, and many birds.

Our backyard is like Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom. Most common are squirrels and wild turkeys. Turned on the back porch light at 430 am last week and saw a large rat waddling away. All kinds of birds, Robins, Scrub Jay, we have a Mourning Dove that is around every morning. had a woodpecker trying to peck his way into our attic by the roof vent. Skunks, possums, coyotes and horses are in the area.

Way too many friggin rabbits, geese and wild turkeys!! Also skunks, foxes, coyotes, raccoons, garden snakes, occasional eagle.

We have everything from bunnies and lizards and armadillos and racoons and regular birds to cranes and hawks and coyotes and bears and bobcats and alligators and snakes. Have it all but moose and reindeer and sharks and stingrays. As we live near Disney. Yes, we have had bears and coyotes and bobcats in our backyard as well as all the regulars for Florida.

We are in a fairly urban area now. Around our home we see squirrels, birds, occasional fox. I have seen larger birds such as eagles and herons by the Potomac waterfront, which is not too far away, and an occasional deer while driving along roads with woods.

When we lived in suburban PA we saw a lot more animals, and the deer destroyed most of our flowers. I don't miss having to watch out for deer on the roads at night when driving though!

I live in the city. We have recently seem wild turkeys, and a family of foxes, which is really strange to all of us, as we watch them play with the stray cats 🤷‍♀️. We hope it’ll take care of the squirrel issue below

We have skunks, raccoons, groundhogs, a million squirrels (such destructive things) who are eating their way through my husband’s garden. I assume due to the heat wave that more people are venturing out to the river, I see them posting snake pictures on FB. I did not anticipate seeing snakes that size here.

We had deer eat our gladiolus last year.

Mostly, bunnies, squirrels, small birds, and a few ground hogs. Once in a while,we see hawks, or a fox. Few times a year, deer jump the fences and munch along.

I have cousin who work for Lufthansa in Miami. He have problems with alligator and sometimes a snake. I am live in Germany and sometimes see wild pig which can be quite angry.

GA house. Back yard is large for subdivision home, 6 ft fencing but we still have nightly rabbits, possum, raccoon and fox. A few weeks ago a good sized coyote was on the camera (he even turned and looked at it). Front yard all the same plus my deer. Right now mostly a gang of 8 teenagers that stick together but also a few smaller groups stop by to dine during the night. I plant specifically for them and I feed them almost nightly. I have a designated deer diner. Sometimes they are standing there when I walk out with dinner.

Of course we have squirrels, chipmunks and tons of birds. Tonight a huge owl was sitting on branch right outside kitchen window. Great dinner company. We have snakes of course but luckily I rarely see them.
