I decided to make some slipcovers for our popup - I think they turned out ok.

The covers are GREAT!!! :) I wish I could sew like that!!

I'm trying to talk my husband into a pop-up trailer to take to Disney. Are they difficult to set up?? They make them now with all the major amenities...My only concern is how well does it retain the heat/air conditioning??

I hope you don't mind my questions...I'm kinda new to the boards.

Thanks,
Tammy

The covers were easy - I just made them like huge pillowcases so I could take them off for washing. I wouldn't say it's difficult to setup - time consuming maybe. What sold me was the price and we do have a bathroom/shower and fridge/sink so it really isn't too much like roughing it. The coldest temps we've camped in - it was in 40's and very warm with the heater. It holds the A/C really well - no problems.

Tammy....questions are the MAIN reason this board exists......dont be timid, ask away!!! We dont know much, but we know some Disney stuff, and you'll find some real experts on campers of all kinds who love to strut their knowledge!!

Welcome to the DIS!!! Come on in and relax, learn a few things and make some new friends!!! We wont bite ya....much;)

Cute slipcovers!!!!!!

We love our pop-up! My DH is a die-hard tent camper-he just loves it! After 3 kids, I am NOT sleeping on the ground anymore! We compromised and got a pop-up. It's easy to tow, easy (but time consuming) to set up. With both of us setting up, we can get it done in about 30 minutes....an hour doing it alone. Taking it down is a little easier. Ours also has a sink/fridge/toilet/shower. The beds are really cozy and we've always managed to stay comfortable temp-wise.....we've camped when it got into the 30's at night and have also camped in the summer. We have a heater. No AC, but with fans and all the windows open, it's pretty comfy. we have a 2003 Coleman Fleetwood.

Any more questions? Ask away!:goodvibes

I would LOVE to make some slipcovers for my camper. (Isn't most of the upholstery in campers some of the ugliest stuff you've ever seen :confused3 )

However, finding the material has been tough. Mine is decorated in the Mickey Mouse "body parts". I may have to break down and just get some "body parts" sheets and use them.
