Putting on my bullet proof vest.... but I don't think any ride at WDW (save FOP which I haven't been on yet) is all that amazing. Certainly nothing worth waiting over an hour for in the summer heat. There are rides I absolutely love and adore, but mostly out of nostalgia and that carefree feeling. They make me feel good and that's alright!
I'm not going to WDW for a thrilling experience. My local Six Flags takes care of that. I am (or was) a huge coaster enthusiast, and looking at SDD, I don't think it would crack a top 20 list for the ride alone. What makes it unique (and worth the FP scramble) IMHO, is the immersion you get that WDW does better than any local theme park. I'm still eyeing a Universal trip and can't wait to go to the dark side... but my heart keeps calling me back to Disney.
