Sling Bags

I'm thinking about getting a "sling" bag. If I've got my terminology correct, these are the bags I'm seeing more of these days that have one strap that you wear across the body as opposed to a traditional backpack with two straps, one over each shoulder.

I've never actually put one on. They just look more comfortable and manageable than a backpack.

Anybody have one of these sling bags? If so, do you like it? Any recommendations on brands or models to consider?

I agree thirty one is great!!!! Very affordable and great quality. I don't sell it, but I had a party and got all kinds of stuff.

My kids both have sling bags. We bought them 2 disney trip ago. There great. They hold there mp3 players camera snacks and a drink. They can put some small things in it they purchase. Whats great is they put them on when we leave the hotel and dont come off until we are back. Nothing gets left behind. They just swing it around in front of them for rides or anything while seated. Best thing is were no longer there pack mules. My camera bag is also a sling bag. I love it. I would make sudjestions but im sure what my kids have no longer are available and we purchased them up here in Canada.

When I went to DL last month, I carried my Vera Bradley Hipster. I was able to carry my camera, wallet, glasses, checkbook, cellphone and other small assorted items and it was not heavy. I really am a fan of the crossbody/sling bags. I use them everyday instead of a regular purse.
