Sling Bag vs Baggalini Messenger bag

I have used a couple different "bags" (fanny pack included) on trips to WDW and so far I have liked my sling bag the best. But now I have been reading about the Baggalini Messenger bag and it looks like it would be better than my sling bag. My sling bag only has the main large compartment and a little "pocket" across the front that has a small velcro closure, which is okay, but not very secure and I have to take the bag off everytime I needed to get our tickets out to get a fast pass. the Baggalini has the nice little pocket on the strap that would be in front of mee and I really like that it has a water bottle pouch and the organizer pocket (maybe I can just leave my purse at home and just carry this the whole trip?).

What I need to know is how much I can actually fit into the largest section of the Baggalini. The dimensions listed on it are 13" x 10" x 4". Do you think I can fit a ziploc bag with a set of DD4 clothes, a small blanket (also in a ziploc), and an autograph book? Does anyone have a picture that shows how mush room is in the main compartment or can you list off what all you had in the bag so I can get an idea of size? Thanks!!

I am not sure this will be much help but judging from my Baggallini I can put my Passporter Deluxe in the main compartment and have enough room for my camera, another book or two plus a number of things I normaly carry in my purse. :thumbsup2

I just got mine today! I'm taking my DD4 this Oct. and have the very same things you do! I tried: one set of clothes in ziplock (t-shirt, legging pants & extra socks and undies), her fav. blanket (small flannel), an autograph book and her sippy cup. Fit great with plenty of room to spare in the front and side pockets for all my stuff. LOVE IT!
I'm hoping this will be all I will have to carry in the parks. I do have a stroller w/a basket, where I will keep a couple of waters and raingear.
Maybe someone else who has already used theirs can tell you actually how much stuff they can fit in it or a picture!

Cool :thumbsup2 thanks for giving me this info. I really like the look of the Baggalini, but could still use my sling bag if necessary. I used it last year and it did okay, but with it I have to put my water bottle in the main compartment and then it doesn't stand up (well, nothing really stands up in it ;) ) and that just increases the possiblity of having it leak all over what ever else I am carrying.

The only other thing I can think of that I may need to carry is a bottle of sunscreen and some handy wipes. So it seems like this might be a go for it item. :sunny:

I just got back Tuesday night after a week at WDW. I had gotten a Baggallini just a few days before we left. In the main compartment, I carried a sweater for myself and DD4 and also a change of clothes for her and sometimes a few other little items. Her autograph book I put in the back zippered pocket with her pen so it would be handy. I didn't bring a purse and used the Baggallini exclusively.

As far as organization, with all of the pockets and zippered compartments, it was great. I could find everything I needed. But most of the time, I either hung it from the back of the stroller or just slung it over my left shoulder because I found the strap to cut into my right shoulder when there was a lot of stuff in it. The strap would loosen up every time I picked it up or took it off it seemed like. I was always having to tighten it back up.

I'm going to try it again tomorrow when we go to the state fair, but I shouldn't have to weigh it down so much. I haven't given up on it completely yet. :goodvibes

New to this board. What is a baggallini? And where do I get one? Thanks

Bagallini (noun): messenger bag made of ripstop nylon. Can be seen here: http://www.ebags.com/baggallini

I bought the wallet at Tuesday Morning this week for $7.99 :thumbsup2

As for what they can fit, I got a hardcover book, a sweatshirt, several magazines, a pound of gummy bears, and the June Issue of Vogue in mine last time I traveled with it. Gives you an idea of how much it can holds.

I just bought the microfiber Baggallini at the Container Store. I haven't used it yet but did pack it up with all the stuff I had planned on carrying in the parks at WDW just to make sure it all fit. I love it! I have a feeling that the microfiber one is much heavier fabric than the nylon ones and would hold up better. It was a few dollars more at $39.99 but if it lasts longer than it will be money well spent (even if it isn't lime green). Also it seems like the straps may be tighter on this one but I haven't tested it yet.

In case anyone is interested, shoebuy.com has a great price(I think) on the baggallini and there is no shipping or tax. Also, if you go to dealhunters.com, there is a discount code for shoebuy.com. The cost of the messenger bag came to about 25.00
I didn't order it yet becuase I wanted to ask you guys of there is a better price out there. So...is there?

Not that I know of, but now you've gotten me tempted to buy another one! Last thing I need is yet another bag. :crowded:

I am really thinking of going ahead and ordering one and was going to go with Shoebuy.com, but I was going to use the code from the $22.45 Crocs thread. (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1188576)

I used the ICE7463 code to order a pair of crocs, but a couple of posters were saying the code wasn't working anymore :confused3 then someone else posted AZOOGLEADS10 to use instead. Both codes (if they still work) were for $10 off, plus if you register you can get an additional 10% off. That would make it $19.30. Not a bad deal if it is a good bag. :cheer2:

If you order one, let us know if either of these codes are working for you. I won't be ready to order a bag until tomorrow or Wednesday at least. TIA!

I ordered one from shoebuy and it was 19.30.
I figure if I use it only for the Disney trip then Ive got my moneys worth!
I got mine in and it is bright ( see my post in community board) lime green. Yes, please dont flame me but.........it was NEON. Nothing wrong with green  it was just toooooo bright for me. I sent it back for khaki..boring yes I know. As soon as I got it I looked through it. There are soooo many pockets and places for stuff. It looks small but I bet you could fit a small change of clothes in there. I cant wait to get my khaki one in...it should be in the next few days....Ive been tracking it online :surfweb:

PS I used the AZOOGLEADS10 code and registered for the additional 10% off. I hear there is a new website bagsbuy that has similar prices.

Thanks so much for the suggestion! I did it! I registered with shoebuy and used the code AZOOGLEADS10. It came to 19.30.

I have never felt so indecisive in my entire life. I kept going to push the check out button, then I would rethink the lime green color. Should I get the khaki? The red? How can I possibly walk around with a bright green bag? I think I just heard you all collectively suck in your breath.

With a mixture of pride and disgust with myself, I have to say that I ordered the green one! There is no turning back form the green side now.
