Hey everyone!

I have not been on in a while...I have not scrapped in days! But I had to post...we now have twins! Of the furry kind of course. We are now the proud owners of a pair of male guinea pigs! They are 3 months old and the cutest things ever. They are mostly black with a little orange. Jacka is thrilled!

I will post a couple of photos after work tonight. :goodvibes

Can't wait to see the pictures! I never thought I'd be a GP fan, but I kind of fell in love with DD's pigs. I still miss them a bit... especially when I have to throw away the celery leaves.... those were their favorites. Be careful... they will work their way into your heart very quickly!!............P

Here are the boys...

Their names are Yellow and Blue, thanks to Jacka. :lmao: Yellow is in the foreground. We call him Mellow Yellow. He has an orange mohawk. Blue is trying to hide under his brother. He is my little fraidy pig. Although last night he was not too afraid...he made a break for it and escaped into my closet. Luckily he was caught quickly.

They are cute! We had Russian Dwarf Hamsters for about 3 yrs and aside from the male, who bit, the 2 females were much more gentle. Hope Jacka (and you ) enjoy them. :)

I had to wonder the same thing when she said they had two ;)

Yes, the rescue organization sexed them and then I did once we got home just to make sure. :rotfl: I did not know his until we got these guys, but most places recommend you get two because they do much better with a friend. So far it has been true. They are loving parsley and strawberries. Jacka is having fun!

If they wouldn't drive the huskies insane, I would love to have two of them. They are so vocal. I love their little sounds.

Boars are good together if they are raised from a young age together and there are no females around. Once a girl gets into the mix, it can get ugly. :rolleyes1 Kinda like real life, no? :rotfl2:

I'm sure you meant boys, but that made me giggle ;)

:rotfl2: No, really, that is what boy piggies are called. Boars. Like Boarshead meats. :rotfl2:

Guinea pigs are the best - I used to have two in my clasrrom when I was teaching. They knew exactly when it was lunch time and would start squealing until someone put some carrots or crackers in their cage. Smart little critters. Enjoy them!!

They are doing pretty well. They get along great! They are nibbling on parsley and carrots now. They are making these great little purring sounds. My Schnauzer is dying to play with them. We were holding one yesterday and the schnauzer stood up to sniff him and he let out a screech that sounded like a car alarm. I felt so sorry for him, he got a little extra TLC the rest of the day. So glad we got these guys instead of hamsters!

Will you post more photos?

Sure! I am on my way out right now and will be celebrating St. Patty's all day today so I may not get to it until tomorrow. I have a great shot of the boys having a Lady and the Tramp moment with a piece of parsley. :lmao:

:cloud9: You have to scrap that photo with the EK Success Lady & Tramp stickers.
