So, I booked tonight for our August trip -- four fabulous nights at the RPR.

However, DS is not what you'd call a daredevil, so we're going to take him to Canada's Wonderland before hand for a bit of acclimatization. Has anyone seen this site - PCW Junkies ? It's a really good site full of the type of info we, as dis junkies, are accustomed to getting about WDW. Also, the new Italian Job ride looks choice. Can't wait to try it.

How old is your DS some friends of ours from Sarnia just got back from Universal/IOA and they have 2 teens and the kids didn't care for US/IOA and they love PCW just to warn you. They thought it was boring and they had no idea what any of the attractions were as in the theming like Jaws and ET etc so they only went one day and cashed in the rest of the pass they bought.

I don't think that will be a problem for us. DS has seen most of the movies, and can't wait to try the rides. The only thing is that he's a little leary about roller coasters and big drops, but I think that's just because he's not used to them. We've been shockingly lax as parents, since we haven't properly educated our child to the joys of approaching the ground at high speed.

Your son will love it. My 3 kids are 11- 16 and have been to both wonderland and Universal many times and will tell you that Universal is far better. For my kids it is actually the other way around- wonderland bores them.

You might want to ease your son into the hulk, the mummy and dueling dragons :earseek: :earseek:

Thanks for the wonderland link.

Truth to tell, I may have to ease myself into those.

You're quite welcome.

First time I've heard of teens bored at Usf/IOA. Mind you, if they did both parks in one day chances are they missed tons at both parks.

My kids, now 15 and 18 love these parks. The Mummy, Hulk, Spiderman, DD are excellent. They also love Busch Gardens. But these parks have spolied them as they were bored at PCW and Valley Fair. They also get bored with most of DW too. I guess we are big movie watchers, ours have definately seen ET and Jaws, lol.

Have fun

My kids prefer USF/IOA over Disney. It sounds like those teens who didn't like it, didn't get to ride much because it is an amazing place for teens. Trying to do two parks in one day at Easter is just foolish.

You will have a ball staying on site. You never have to wait in line more than 10 minutes. It is a very relaxing, wonderful holiday!!!

Try to get your son on The Italian Job since it is similar in style to the Mummy ride at Universal. There are tons of things for non-thrill ride junkies to do at Universal. We probably spend half of our time just riding Men in Black. If your sons likes video games, he will love this. Try to check out the thread on Men in Black on the Universal Board. Having some hints at how to get big points make the ride all that more fun and addictive!!!

One more thing...don't ride Back to the Future unless you enjoy being sick.

Ahhh! My sort of challenge! I may not be comfortable with heights, but I've never met a ride that could make me sick, and my last trip on Mission:Space I was accompanied by a few pints of beer. I look forward to this Back to the Future. ;)
