Slightly OT - Fixing a snowglobe

I have a Toy Story "You've Got a Friend in Me" rather large snowglobe (probably close to a foot tall and really heavy) that has Buzz, Woody and some Little Green Aliens in a spaceship shaped globe with "The Claw" in the top pointy part of the snowglobe. Like this -

Last weekend while cleaning and dusting I noticed that The Claw was resting on Woody's hat. The Claw has come unglued from the top of the snowglobe and while the alien looking glue might had some "ooooh" to the overall look I hate that The Claw is no longer up where it belongs.

I emailed the customer service link on the Disney Store website to see if they still carried it or if they knew how to fix it but was told that they no longer carry that snowglobe but there might be a different Toy Story one that I could purchase. I don't want a different one, I'd just like to get The Claw back up in his normal resting spot.

I had a snowglobe that started leaking fluid a while back, and I did a lot of research. Most of the research convinced me, because of the way they were sealed, etc, that it was not something I wanted to tackle myself. There are companies out there that will fix your snowglobes, but they aren't cheap. Supposedly there *are* repair kits you can buy at craft stores, but it all just sounded a bit too much to me.

Most stuff I read assumes that it's the glass that is broken, but I assume once you had it apart, you could use the "underwater glue" mentioned in the first link to re-affix the claw, then follow the rest of the instructions to re-fill & re-attach the globe.
