Slightly OT-Epcot

My understanding is that one day Disney tickets are never discounted, doesn't matter where you buy. Front gate, discount ticketsellers, AAA, etc everywhere has the same prices for one day tickets. Multiday tickets are where you find a price variance. That info comes up fairly often on the other forums.

OK, anybody out there hit Epcot this Tuesday? How were the crowds?...Any noticeable increase due to the GF snobs and other Extra Magic Hours folks?

If I go during next Tuesday's EMH will I wait 90 min for Soarin?

Thanks!

Epcot is a fabulous park, probably even our favorite, it's a very adult park also. We're heading down a couple days after you ourselves. Seaworld is really great too, BUT if you haven't done Epcot I would definitely do that first. Also, Epcot has the Living Seas which are full of living sea creatures also. Epcot is also a very big park, there is a lot there to see and do. Have fun! Definitely HIGHLY recommend Epcot. :hippie:

Well, now I have yet another dilemma, I watched a Travel channel show about Seaworld (it was the newest one, from 2007) now I think we might go there instead???? Decisions, decisions, decisions......:confused3

I think all the major parks in the Orlando area are worth at least one trip if you have never been. Every one of them offers something unique and that first trip to a new park can be an amazing day experiencing rides and attractions for the first time.

If you have a car you might want to also think about a trip to Busch Gardens in Tampa which is owned by the same company that owns Sea World. Plus there is a very similar ticket deal to what Universal has with an $85 ticket good to both parks for one week. Plus if you don't have a car there is free transportation from Sea World to Busch Gardens.

Sea World is not much of a ride park with only one coaster and one ride that is half coaster and half boat ride. What they don't have in rides they more then make up for in shows and animal attractions. If you enjoy seeing the animals and want a nice slow day Sea World is great.

Epcot is an amazing park and if you have never been before its worth at least one trip. Although a single day park ticket to Disney World is pretty pricey. Its very hard for me to only spend one day at Epcot because there is just so much to do. Last year I went the first week of December and only one or two rides had a wait at all most were walk-ons and even though I skipped all the street shows and got there when the park opened and stayed until close I still missed several attractions. Although it does not help that some really do take an hour (universe of energy). If you enjoy fireworks you have to see Illuminations. The show is very well done and while its better to see the holiday version since it has several extra minutes at the end the show is still good the rest of the year.

If you only have the time to go to one I would recommend Epcot. I make sure I spend a day at Epcot every trip to Orlando while I can't say the same for Sea World.

Any feedback on Tuesday crowds and EMH influence this week?

Thanks

i was at epcot on tuesday 9/25 and 10/2. traveled home this past tuesday.
neither day was bad with crowds. once f & w opened the weekends were totally crowded.

i have been to seaworld and to epcot.
think there would be more to do at epcot for you mike and the boss lady.

if you do epcot, eat at off times, either around 11ish or after 1:30 and you will not have to deal with crowds.

Thanks Mac, it looks like we will be doing Epcot on Monday the 21st.....
Nice!:thumbsup2

OK, since we're here in Orlando, and I'm pressed for time to search threads and such. Can someone give me a condensed version of how to do epcot this Monday? What time does it open, we have to get tix there the way it looks, we stopped at 3 places here, and no one sells single day tix outside of the park, all sales start at 3 day tix. No biggy, I just mainly want to know when to get there, and maybe an order to do rides. We are coaster people, so we will go on everything at Epcot if we have the time!

Thanks in Advance
Mike

Mike -

Future World opens @ 9am and World Showcase @ 11am. As soon as you arrive, I would get a FP for Soarin' since they tend to go quickly. I would hit Test Track, M:S and the other pavilions and then head around to World Showcase. Just pick a side and stop a each country until you've done them all.

They are having the International Food & Wine Festival now so make sure you check out the offerings...FYI...they are NOT free!

You can purchase the single day tickets at the gate.

last Sunday we got there around 11:00. Soarin was 75, MS was 60, Test Track was 60. it'll be better for you on a Monday, but those three run through the fastpasses.

the food offerings and quality weren't as good this year as they have been in the past, but it's still a fun time.

Akdar did you ever post any thoughts on your trip to Epcot anywhere? Since it was your first time I was wondering what you thought of the park.
