So when the dining plan code hit, I, along with everyone else who is on these boards, called up and changed my reservation to include it. In doing so, they had to split my trip up. The 24th of August to the 26th without free dining and the 26th to the 31st of August with it. I have two separate reservation #s, both are for our stay at ASMo, but I'm hoping we won't have to change rooms at all. I just don't think it'd go over well to have to repack everything two days into our trip. Now, I know I could call and check on this, but I like to run things by folks who are in the know for real, and not just paid to be. Anyone have any ideas that might actually calm me down some?:confused3

Thanks everyone!!!

When you check in, I would let the CM know that you have two reservations and explain about the free dining if you have to. Then I would request to stay in the original room assigned to you. I really don't think that will be a problem, so I wouldn't worry too much. Just re-state your request for this at check in. I believe things like this are done fairly often.

Have a great trip!

Honestly, just talk to the CM at the front desk when you check in on the 24th. Say something like, "We've got a continuing reservation and we'd really love to stay in the same room. What can we do to help you make that happen and what will be the procedure for checking out and checking back in again?"

At that point the front desk CM should be able to look at the 2nd reservation and try to block the same room for that stay if it hasn't already been done. In some cases they'll arrange with you for a seamless check in/check out process. I've even seen some resorts arrange to have a runner come up to your room with the new keys and paperwork to sign so you don't have to visit the front desk on the transition day. Now I'm not sure if ASMo will do that but if you ask they'll work with you to make it as easy as possible.

This happened to us also a couple of years ago. The Cm told me that they have to tell the guest you may be changed, however it has never happened before. So I wouldn't worry! Have fun!

I would also call reservations and have them add the fact that you have a continuing reservation. That way when they start to assign the room you may be more likely to stay in the same room.

This is exactly what we are doing!!!! We will be arriving on the 23rd and will have to pay for the dining for 3 days with the one reservation and from the 26th to the 31st on another! When I made the change, the CM told me to make certian that I mentioned at check in and to ask to stay in the same room. It was also noted on the paperwork that we got. So I am hoping that we will not have to move.

We will be at the All Star Music this trip.

Hey Disgram!:wave2: So not only are we going to be at neighboring hotels, we're less than 350 miles aways right now! I'm in Plattsburgh...which is kinda far from you...but still.

Thanks to everyone for making me feel a little calmer! I may just call WDW and see what I can do.

Thanks everyone...I'm always up for more suggestions!

We did this last year with FDP at ASMO. We arrived 1 day before the plan started and had 2ressies. The CM at checkin said we would not have to move. I just had to go down the next morning and check in again and pick up my new room keys with the park tkts and FDP attached. Also, going on the 24th this year, but we are switching resorts on the 26th. Have fun!!!

We also will arrive on the 24th and then start our "Free Dining Package" ressie on the 26th. We have it noted on our 1st reservation (room only confirmation papers) We have done this before and had no problem keeping the same room. We will be at the POP (perferred room) by the main pool I hope:goodvibes .

I have the same problem. I have Port Orleans room only from the 23-26. Then we remain at POR from the 26th -2nd.

Thanks for giving me information on how the stay in the same room.

Same situation here. We are arriving at CBR on the 25th, have a one day reservation for that day\night, then our package starts on the 26th. I asked the same question on these boards a few weeks ago, and was pretty much told it's never an issue to stay in the same room.

In my nervousness, I phoned Disney, and spoke with a wonderful CM. She made all types of notes on my res# thingy regarding not being moved, and also put a request in for the building I wanted. She DID say it's still a good idea when you arrive to let the CM's know about the two reservations, but said really, there is not need to worry, as it is fairly common.
