Slide at CSR

I am trying to decide on a resort for our visit next summer. We stayed at Pop this past summer and really liked it, but would like to try somewhere new. I am considering CSR because of all the great things I've read about the pool area. I have 6yo twin girls. For those who have stayed there before, how is the pool area for smaller kids. They are pretty good swimmers, and we spend a lot of time at a local water park during the summer, so they are very familiar with water slides. However, is there any height requirements for the slide at CSR? Is the slide something they can do on their own with us nearby at the bottom, or would we have to walk them back and forth to the top?

You would not have to walk them to the top of the slide. I don't think they allow anyone very near at the bottom of the slide-it would get too congested with people. Anyway, you wouldn't be able to tell when your kids were coming down, you can't see the top. There is a life guard specifically very near the exit point of the slide, so if your girls are decent swimmers, they should be perfectly safe. You could go down the slide with them (I believe) once or twice, to get them comfortable with it. There are also life jackets available, if that would make you/them more comfortable.

My daughter loved the pool at CSR. She was 9 that trip.

We really love the slide at CSR. They do not allow more than 1 rider to go down the slide at a time, so you would not be able to go down the slide "with" your DD. Our DDs went on the slide themselves and either myself or DW would hang out in the pool by the slide for when they came down. You cannot stand right by the bottom of the slide but they do allow you to stand in the area.

They def can do on their own, it's one of the reasons I love the slide. My DS, who is disabled, can go up on his own and I know he will make it back down where he belongs. Not the case at most slides. They will love it!
