Has anyone done both or either of these mystery dinners? Which did you enjoy the most? How was the food?

Thanks

We did the dinner/entertainment at the Grosvenor a few years ago.
It was okay. I was expecting more of an interactive who dunnit.
It was slightly interactive and more of a musical entertainment.
The food was fine. Not great. But not bad. Typical buffet food. The service was very good.

I would like to do Sleuths. I think that would be more of what I expected.

We love Sleuths. We've done it three years in a row and it's the only place that we make sure to go every trip.

The food is not great, but the show is sure funny. The emphasis is not on "who dun it" -though that is in there-- but in having fun along the way to figuring it out. Take a sense of humor and a willingness to go along with the actors and you'll have a great time.

(Although I see kids there every time we go, I really would not recommend this for kids under about 12. It isn't really designed for children.)

Sleuths is always great fun. We just saw it again a few weeks ago in their new location. The venue is much bigger but they had no problem filling all the seats, which I think is a great testiment to the quality of show they put on.

The food was good the first time I went, stone cold this time. However, I was willing to forgive them since the actors did such a great show, especially when one guest asked a question I am absolutely certain they have never heard before. After a rather long pause, the actor who had to answer the question came up with the perfect answer. The whole crowd broke out cheering at the skill (and ability to stay in character!) necessary to handle audience questions.

Go. It's a fabulous evening.

We have never done the Sleuth Dinner or the Mystery Dinner at the Grosvenor but did eat at the Grosvenor buffet right before the mystery show and thought the food was a bit lacking. We went there because it was in the Entertainment Book and we got a discount on it. It wasn't bad but we would have been disapointed had we paid full price.
