Sleigh Rides at WL?

You can get to the WL from CBR by taking a bus to a park and then that park's transportation to the WL. I would recommend going to the MK. From there you can (1) take the WL's MK shuttle boat or (2) walk to the Contemporary and take the CR, WL, Fort Wilderness loop boat.

We did the sleigh ride last Saturday night - DH, myself, and DD. We loved it! We had a great time! John was our driver, and Rodney the horse! It was rather chilly outside, and there was a blanket on the seat (and we did use it!!) My DD had a cup of hot chocolate from the Lodge, and DH had a cup of wine, and we really enjoyed the ride! Right as we were turning around to come back, we saw three deer!!!

I would highly recommend the Sleigh ride - we'll definitely do it again!!!!

We did the sleigh ride on Sunday, 12/12, John was also our driver and the horse was Prince. We went out at 5:30 and it was just starting to get dark, so we could see into the woods, I don't know if I would like to go out in the pitch dark. My two DGD's felt like real princesses, as everyone looked and waved at us on our journey. It was a real highlight, and we had dinner at Whispering Canyon afterwards. Loved the ducks in the kiddie pool, they were so cute, begging for food whenever someone came near. Next year, I think we will take the carriage ride at Fort Wilderness, and look at everyone's Xmas lights. :cheer2: :cheer2:

I believe that the cancellation policy is 48 hours, so two days or so before I would check again.

Thanks Robin! I should really bone up on my transportation knowledge, esp. btwn. resorts... :wizard:

Sherry - Where in upstate NY? I'm in Rochester.

that sounds extra nice
always learning of something new to do at disney

Sherry, We also have John & Prince on 12/18. I think Eelvira must have had them as well. We also did Whispering Canyon after the ride. All I have to say is "WE NEED KETCHUP!!!". HAHAHA

Yep! We had John & Prince too. It was dark when we did the ride but well worth it. So quiet after we got off the road. My DD submerged under the blanky as she called it and loved it too.

Thie carriage ride is normally done at Fort Wilderness if you want to do it at other times of the year. There is also a nice one at Port Orleans where we stayed. We heard and saw the carriage when we were in the pool. Probably will try it in our next trip.
