Just out of curiosity...what exactly is the sleigh ride at the WL (since obviously there is no snow! lol) What do they do and where does this "ride" go? Sounds interesting!
Well its not actually a sleigh(duh) it's a horse drawn carriage that has something on the sides that makes it look like a sleigh. the trip is 30 min long and it leaves from the Wl. I think the price is around 30.00 and I would imagin that they drive you around ft. wilderness. Sounds like alot of fun. I don't know how early you can make ressies but i heard they go fast.
It looks just like a sleigh, but has wheels. It picked us up at the Wilderness Lodge and took the path over to Fort Wilderness and back to the lodge. It was fun. Our horse didn't want to cooperate at the end and almost dumped us, but it was still a fun way to spend part of the evening.
The sleigh ride at Wilderness Lodge is a horse & carriage ride from the front of WL through the parking lot and down into the woods near by. It is a 30 minute ride and worth the money for the ride. We went over Thanksgiving and it was really nice. It was already dark and the driver was very pleasant.
I would do it again if it was available during our next visit. But I think the one at WL is only available during the Christmas season, starting after Thanksgiving.
