How hard is it for a toddler to sleep in a rental stroller? Do they recline? Just trying to decide if we should bring our own or rent? Any suggestions from people who have used the rental strollers at all parks before?

I rented at each of the parks. We had planned breaks each day. The only day we took one was the first day - due to the fact that my 4 year old son was falling asleep in the stroller each day!! The hard plastic ones we just rolled up a sweatshirt and put a towel under him. He didn't complain. LOL The strollers at MK, AK are hard plastic and don't really recline. My son was 41 inches he would sit in it with his legs stretched out in front of him, and had plenty of head room, and plenty of leg room. The strollers at MGM and Epcot are jogging strollers that always recline about 25%, soft sided. He was sleeping 1 1/2 to 2 hours in them, so they couldn't have been that uncomfortable. I believe somewhere on this site is pictures of the strollers. We never had trouble standing in lines to rent, or return. Even at park closing.

I have a jogging stroller at home so it was out of the question to bring that with us on the plane, too big, and too expensive to get lost or stolen. But I honestly didn't notice many people having their own strollers there. Best of luck on what you decide. Janis

We rented at each of the parks last year for my then 5 1/2 & 2 1/2-year-old nephews and they seemed pretty content in them. I think the softsided one's are a little more comfortable, but they both seem to have enough room. They were in and out of them so much, that it was not really an issue.

We have always brought our own stroller(s). We have found it easier to have them to maneuver around resorts at the end of the day when kids are tired.

:)

We just got back from WDW last Thur and saww lots of kids each day sleeping in rental strollers.

I no longer have to have a stroller, my son is 18 but when he was younger I always brought my own, Yep, on the plane and through the airport to our hotel. I just felt that with all the kids in those strollers, germs, kids picking their noses (can't help that) diapers not catching everything, drool, I felt like he should be in something that was cleaner and I didn't have to worry about his fingers in his mouth and getting others germs. . Can you tell I am a germ freak but I don't regret doing what I did.:)

The strollers at MK, Epcot, and AK are all the same, the hard plastic type. The ones at MGM are the jogger style. Since I work in the stroller rental area at AK...I see lots of young ones sleeping in the strollers. The plastic ones do not recline. Not sure about MGM's. Hope this helps!

I have done both, brought my own stroller and rented them. My son , who is now 5 3/4, has slept in the stoller every afternoon we were in Disney. We have never had to go back to the room for a break. It was the same with his older sister. I would just take them off alone for a stroll and the next thing I knew, good night. It was wonderful both for the nap and just to take that time to quietly walk and enjoy taking in the scenery. I especially love it in Epcot. I do like taking my own stroller better, however. Mostly for the time he is in it in the airport and also at the hotel. If you rent it, you have to leave the stroller in the park and there is quite a lot of time left for the little one to ride to the bus stop or the parking lot, especially on a crowded night .
