Sleeping Beauty's Castle

Nope!! But I saw a picture someone had taken yesterday or day before and it was a sign on the entrance of the walk through of the castle and it said something about it opening "before the last leaf of Autumn falls" it will be open. So I'm guessing that means soon!!!

Rat's we'll be there tomorrow and I really wanted to see that again (Haven't seen it since is was a teenager) I can't plan another trip until 2010!

We're planning to go Dec 14th. I love and miss the castle walk through. Let us know if it's open now. I can't wait to see it.

Hmm. Before the last leaf of autumn falls...well, that's certainly up for interpretation. Technically, the first day of winter isn't until December 21st. Sooo....anytime between now and then? A clever way of keeping it cryptic just in case things don't go as planned, I guess. :)

We just got home from an afternoon/evening at DL. I asked the castle security guard, Chuck. He said no date yet, but he thinks it should be sometime in the next two weeks or three. He said they were aiming for sometime after Thanksgiving. They ran into some extensive interior work (gas piping) that had to be redone before they could continue. Something about safety and all!

From Mice Age:

Wednesday, November 26th brings the opening of Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough. Both the Traditional Walkthrough and the Alternative Experience should be ready to go.

We'll be there Dec. 7-12. Hopefully it will be open when we are there!!

MousePlanet reported that it's opening Wednesday. The nice rhyme about the leaves of autumn falling came from Tony Baxter and he said that could mean January in California. I think Disneyland wants it up as soon as possible, but when that happens remains to be seen.

*swoon* Here you go mentioning Tony Baxter again! :lovestruc

I'm glad they're opening it soon. Wednesday sounds great, right before Turkey Day. I'm really excited for this. I'm excited for the changes compared to the old walk through and also just because the old one is so nostalgic to me. Classic Disneyland. :cloud9:

Last night, the walls were down at the entrance, but not at the exit or the disability entrance. Those still had full construction walls in place. Not as big as the previous ones, but they were still completely blocking those doorways.

I'm not completely sure they are ready for Wednesday, but miracles happen.

I hope it opens up before we get there! But I guess I can wait until April. I dont even remember the old one so it is going to be all new to me! So excited! :)

And that's why I attempt to remind people to wait until it's official before getting their hopes up.

Boy, I hardly even remember the old walkthrough...

Can't wait for the new one! Hopefully it'll be up by January!

I dont remember it either :sad1:

When did it close? Maybe I should check out yesterland?

Jut wanted to share for all those interested. I talked to one of the security guys by the castle walk through this morning and he said officially it opens tomorrow, but it might be open later this evening.:cool1: That would be so cool if we get to see if while we are here. If I see it open tomorrow I will report back.

I heard that it was going to open soon. Bummer, I missed it. We'll have to see it next time.

There are reports on MiceChat that the walkthrough is indeed open and that the line ends somewhere in the hub. It is open!!

I'll be there December 13th. I sure hope it's open. I can't wait!!:woohoo: I loved the old walk through. Keep your fingers crossed.
