We have 9:30 res for hoop dee doo and our littlest will be sleeping. Any creative alternatives for a stroller? I know they sometimes let strollers in but I have a Peg Perego Triplette SW (HUGE!!!) so I don't think that will be an option. I could just carry in my sling or maybe my light weight peg that lays flat???? I really didn't want to carry him the whole time (he will be ten months and almost 30 lbs!):goodvibes

Can you call the reservation dept. and ask them what their policy is on that? There's no way you can hold a sleeping 30lb baby.

p.s. 30lb 10 month old? Wow! My 2.5 year old is 27lbs! Your baby must have some cute edible rolls going on. Please don't take offense to that, i love a good chubby baby. Mine were chubbs once too!

are you sure he'll be sleeping? i dont think any of my kids could have slpet through that?

i would call and ask if they let strollers in. bring the smaller one for sure. i would bring a back up sling or something also in case the person up front last minute says you cant bring in the stroller when you are there.

if they dont allow strollers and you dont think you can carry him the whole time (and eat yourself), then im sorry but i think you would have to cancel that reservation for a time that may be more convienent.
im guessing you have other quite small children too. will they be okay at a 930pm dinner?

That's what I was thinking. It is a VERY loud show.

What about using an in-room sitter like Kids Night Out of Fairy Godmothers? I know that isn't for everyone but I've heard nothing but good things about them.

If you are going to have to "carry" him, have you considered a sling? It will give you some extra support so you can use your hands to eat. I loved my hotsling, it was a pouch style with no rings or big extra "tails" and used it all the way to the 35lb limit. DS is a moose, and at the end I could walk around with him a lot, but loved it for situations where I'd be sitting and wanted to not have to use the hands to keep him from sliding away.

I agree with the sling. I still carry my 25lb 12mo old in my maya wrap all the time. She sleeps very comfortably in it. I also have a hotsling but I don't like it.

You may not have to worry about him sleeping. I know that at 10 months old, my kids are always very aware of what's going on around them. And if they could hear the loud music, they would be awake and looking around. Unlike when my kids were newborn and small infants who could sleep through anything.

Thanks Girls!! I knew I'd find some help!! I'm not sure he would sleep through it....but I was just "covering my bases!"

Yes! I do have a sling (and a mei tei and an Ergo and a hotsling..:lmao: ) Which is what my kids (Ethan 3.5 yrs and Seth 9 mo) Live/lived in!! I really don't have a problem holding them but being so late I (and my hubby) may be really tired.

Yes our oldest will be two weeks away from his 4th b'day and he is the reason we booked this. His favorite things to watch are Cats, Hairspray, The Sound of music etc....and that was the only time they had left during our 10 day trip!!!:scared1: He will be fine ....we will have him take a nap...if he takes a nap, he is up until midnight!!!!

Ok...So I think I will call the restaurant see what they say, if yes then take my small stroller and sling for back up!!! Then he'll prob be awake the whole time!! :lmao:

PS...Yes..We grow them big here!!!:rotfl: My oldest was 30lbs at a year and now, almost three years later he is 36 lbs!!! Seth (the youngest) is 27lbs and hasn't even started eating solids yet!!!! Gotta love those rolls!!!

When my youngest was 3 months old, we were allowed to bring her Peg P3 stroller into the 5:00 pm Hoop Dee Doo with no problems, along with many other restuarants.

I don't have any suggestions other than reconsider the reservations. Please don't take offense but the 9:30 show seems very late for a 4 yr old and 10 month old. My DD is 14 months and would be a complete nightmare at that time. She turns into a pumpkin if she is not in bed by 8pm. Obviously you know your kids best but it's such an expensive show that it would be a shame if you paid for it and missed it because the kids were tired.
