Sleeping arrangements

I would vote for staying at POP. There is storage under the main bed for the luggage. If the murphy bed is put up, there is enough room for the three of you to be in there at the same time. I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of storage space that they managed to put in that room. Those rooms also have a very large number of USB ports for charging all of your electronics.
When you check in, try to get a room in the 50's or 60's sections. Those are closest to the skyliner and AOA.

The murphy bed is a very nice mattress and queen sized. Two adults can share it just as easily as a normal queen bed.

He says he is ok with sharing. They share tents when camping with scouts which is not a bed but it’s smaller than the queen bed.
We did scouting for years. If you have the scouting experience/perspective, anything that is not -on the ground- is luxury. You will be fine.

It IS a "normal queen bed". Same mattress.

I would upgrade for my own sanity. Honestly, I can’t imagine spending that much time in such close quarters with a no privacy. Upgrade. It’s your vacation too. Get your own room.

They are 14 & 15. Idk where in pop you could even put a air mattress or I would ask for a cot. The rooms are on the smaller side.

I am very much an over thinker. So I am probably over thinking it. Lol.

Air mattress could squeeze in, but honestly that isn't going to be any more comfortable than the bed. The only thing murphy about it is it folds down. It is a QUEEN sized same mattress that is on the other bed. It is made for two adults, so after a day at the parks, they'll pass out and be fine.

No cots.

If you can swing it, do the family suite at Music. Then you will also have your own bathroom.

I agree the suite is a plus with you having your own room and bath, and them having their own sleeping spaces and bath. But ASMu is no POP Century. Lay it out out for your son and see what he thinks. If you are mostly doing the parks, it probably doesn't matter which hotel. Sleep is sleep, you'll just have to schedule shower time.

I'm sure OP would lover her own room but OP is a single parent. This is hard in the best circumstances.

Do you think there will be issues with having one bathroom? I'm assuming the bathroom room will be used for a changing room too. Think they will be timing issues getting ready in the morning?

Or do you plan to say to the boys ," you guys get ready and go, I'll meet you TT in an hour"?

Or maybe say, "you guys go eat breakfast, bring me back a coffee and bagel". Give you a bit of quiet to get ready.

If a Music suite is in your budget, then I would definitely switch to Music. There are three sleep surfaces, and two bathrooms. The two bathrooms alone would sway me! Have a magical vacation, whatever you choose!

After knowing that the pull down bed is a regular size queen, I double down on the suggestion to stay where you are and the boys will be fine. The only way at this point I'd switch resorts is if it meant mom had more room.

You’ll be fine at Pop. My son had his senior trip 3 years ago. Four 17-18 year old guys in one room at music resort for 4 or 5 nights. They did perfectly fine sharing beds and bathroom. Teen guys take about 2.5 minutes to get ready in the morning. If it were me I would just get up first, get ready and go grab coffee/breakfast to bring back to the room while they get ready. They’ll probably be done before you even get back.

We had two 17 year old's share and they had absolutely no problems. They had their own blankets so they did not have to share. POP has doors that separate the toilet and shower from the sink area, as well as door separating the sink from the bedroom, we did not find any problems with this setup and we normally have 4 people in the room.
This is where US totally has WDW beat. They offer a value that is a 2 bedroom and has 3 real queen beds, great for situations like this.

but connecting rooms are not a booking cat. would you feel comfortable with the boys being not close even on another floor?

if the boys are fine with sharing the bed, and you're fine with sharing the small room with them, then stick with Pop since he wanted it.

They will not put a rollaway/cot in a room with 2 beds. You can fit a twin air mattress, though it will be tight.
