This really isn't a bad "problem" to have. We have a 2-bed booked for 6 nights in Dec for me, DH, DS9, DS6 and DM, we are flying down and we've provided the flights. Our friends are unable to join us, they were going to have the kingsize if they did.

Now should DH and I take the Kingsize or give it to DM? If DH & I, should I put boys in bedroom or lounge? My DM is a really easy-going person, is so excited about going and I really want to make it an awesome holiday for her. I'd love the king-size, it'll be our 2nd time in a 2-bed and last time we gave up the king-size to my best friend and girlfriend. Our next time we will be in studio's. However, I do want DM to have an awesome time.

What do you think?

I would give DM the studio portion, the kids in the living room, and keep the king for you and DH. I don't really think a single person needs a king size bed, it makes much more sense to give it to the couple. Plus, DM might appreciate the added bit of privacy in the studio. I think it's really nice that you are trying to make this trip so special for her! Have a great time!

I was going to say the same thing. If your mother wants the kids to sleep in the same room as she is, that wouldn't be a problem either. But I'd keep the master for me and hubby.

The boys might even like swapping off each night to have a night with Grandma. One night one boy sleeps in the living room and the other in the room with Grandma. The next night they switch.

We are in the same boat with you.

But since it is just my Grandma on her lonesome so she would like to have the studio. This way also since she is a MUCH earlier riser than us she can get up take her shower make her coffee and not worry about waking the boys.

The boys have the option of sleeping in her room or the Lounge area. Parker already has called dibs on Grandma's sofa! :rotfl: I am sure they will take turns being in Grandma's room. He goes to bed and rises early as well.

It makes sense for a couple to have the King. My Grandma said she would feel tinier in that bed all by herself! It would make her miss my Grandpa too much!

I have to agree with the earlier posts. My boys are the same age and if your DM is anything like my mom then she'll want to have the boys in with her - the slumber party is part of the trip! My eldest would want the sofabed in the living room and the little guy would want to be in with grandma - just keep everyone's waking habits in mind and it'll work itself out.
Have fun!

It really makes sense. DM gets the luxury of a room to herself and we have the sofa in the studio if we want to have some late night chats - we only get to see each other for 3 weeks per year so our time together is precious. The boys get to share our bathroom and keep their clothes in our room, we can still use the kitchen late in the evening because they are both sound sleepers. Oh and DH and I get the luxury of that king-sized bed  Just hope we don't spoil ourselves too much, March 08 is in Studios!!

Thank youso much!!!! This is why I love the DIS so much :grouphug:
