Sleeper sofas

We stayed in a 1 bed in Aug. for 21 nights my DD 15 slept on the sleeper chair for the whole trip and had plenty of room and said that it was really comfortable. Our older DD slept on the sleeper sofa. So yes two children would be able to sleep separately! :thumbsup2

We too have found the sleeper sofa plus sleeper chair arrangement in the OKW 1BR unit fine for our teenagers - DD 13 slept on the chair and DS 15 on the sofa. No complaints. The living area is large so they didn't feel like they were too close to each other!

This year for SSR we have booked the 2BR though...

We've stayed at Saratoga and OKW a couple of times. The sofa bed at Saratoga was really uncomfortable. The queen size beds at OKW studio are great. We were upgraded to a one bed last time we were at OKW and whilst it was lovely to have all the extra space, I hated my 9 year old sleeping on the sofa bed in the vast kitchen/ lounge area whilst we were in the bedroom. She got spooked by being near the front door alone and the ice machine in the fridge kept her awake all night. We eventually moved the sofa into the bedroom with us!

The furniture is not designed to be moved to other rooms :( It can cause damage which is paid for via DVC members dues. I know you are paying to stay there but if the arrangements don't work for you book something else please :flower3:

The ice machine can be turned off in the fridge as you probably don't need it making ice all night ;)

Our DD has slept in the sleeper chairs in the living rooms of one bed DVC villas since she was under 3 without issue. The fact she is in a separate room from us was the orginal purpose of getting a one bed. It has since evolved to needing the kitchen/laundry/jacuzzi tub... :rolleyes1

We slept on the sofa bed for 14 nights as it was easier to give the two girls the Queen bed.
The bed, including the bedding took 1 minute to fold up each morning.

We would do it again if staying at OKW :)

Hi
Thanks for your comments. If youd read my post more carefully you'd have realised I said that we were upgraded to a one bedroom villa. We had booked a studio and I much prefer the arrangements in the studio for our family. I thought my daughter was a little vulnerable and would never have felt comfortable with a 3 year old sleeping on their own in the living area; I guess we are all different.

FYI we didn't move the sofa ourselves, guest services arranged for that to be done so you will not have been charged for any damage.
