Can anyone please tell me which studios have the platform style sleeper sofas where the back flips over and the cushions support the foot of the sleeper sofa?
Thanks

Those are not the platform type. BWV,BCV, VWL have that style.

OKW, SSR, BLT and AKV (I think) have the three section foam pad on the platform.

Thanks for the responses but I'm still confused. I'm trying to ascertain which resorts do not have the type with the metal bar across the middle. I think my description I gave was confusing. I think the type of bed I'm looking for is like the type they have for sleeper chairs at ASM.
Thanks

They have gotten rid of the old style ones with the bar in the middle. BCV, BWV and VWL have the type that flip from the back and the cushions support the feet. But every once in a while you will find the older style one that was replaced.

The other resorts have the platform type with the three section foam pad. The sleeper chair is similar to these with the foam pad. The sleeper chair is only found at AKV (not value villas at JH), BLT and OKW.

Never stayed at ASM, so I can't compare to those.

Thanks again Deb & Bill.
I'm seriously considering buying a small contract so I'd most likely be staying in studios. I was wondering about the comfort of the sofa beds. Which type do you prefer?
Thanks

Have you tried any of the sleeper sofas? How are they...for an adult? I'd hate to throw my back out while vacationing.

The ones that flip from the back. My son usually is the one who gets stuck on these and he prefers these. He says the three section foam pad ones are harder.

I agree. I usually sleep on the BWV sofa bed (the flip over style) and it is comfortable. I have tried both the sleeper chair and the sofa bed at Kidani this trip and they are hard (the 3 section platform style). They are probably okay for kids and I can survive a week on them but my back is a little sore in the morning.

We just got back from Aulani and they had a foam mattrass that was three sections...I wouldn't want to sleep on it the whole time, but I could if I had to. I did sleep with my girls part of the time, off and on and it was doable, just not my first choice.

I find the sofas at Animal Kingdom to be great for sitting, but poor for sleeping. I used the sleeper sofa for 5 nights and woke up each morning with slight back pain (and I am a younger guy who exercises regularly). Bar or no bar, it sure felt like something was traversing the width of the mattress.

The BLT sleeper sofa is horrible for sitting as is the OKW one. The VWL was nice for sitting.

Wasn't the AKV sleeper sofa the three piece foam pad type?

I have only stayed at Jambo House, so I am unable to comment on the sofas at Kidani Village. The sofas we have had are traditional sleepers. The pillows and seat cushions are removed, revealing the sofa frame, and the mattress pulls out.
