I guess we are in the minority. We got a Sleep Number about five years ago and got rid of it three years ago. Absolutely hated it! The problem was the ineer workings of the mattress had two different air chambers on either side (a queen-sized bed) and a piece of foam dividing them in the middle. We would constantly be rolling towards the middle of the bed because the darn foam piece could never stay level with the air chambers. We contacted the Sleep Number store where we bought it, and they gave us another foam piece to put in the middle. It didn't help, and we were constantly adjusting those foam pieces. By the end, my back hurt so bad every morning from ending up sleeping at weird angles due to the unevenness of the bed that we just bought a basic mattress to sleep on while we save up for a Tempur-Pedic. It was an expensive lesson.
If you do try out a Sleep Number in the store, make sure after they find your perfect "number" that you actually move around afterwards rolling towards the middle, the edge, your side, etc.
