Sleep. Eat. Ride. (A Solo Trip Report - LONG)

N.E.D., I really enjoyed your trip report, sounds like you would be so much fun to hang around with. I love how detailed your report is. I hope that you'll post your pictures, so I can see them. :flower1:

Hey guys! I can't believe I never posted the last day...what a bad trip reporter I am! I've finished it now, in anticipation for my trip next week. I promise the next one won't take a half a year, LOL!

Hugs to everyone who reads!

I have really enjoyed reading your trip reports. I have always wondered what it would be like to go to WDW solo. Now I know that it would be ok. My family thinks I am crazy :rotfl2: for being so "crazy" about WDW. Are you going to post some pictures? I would love to view them. :)

wow I enjoyed reading every bit of your report.

I am building up the courage to go solo, my husband and 2 sons like
Disney but they aren't Disney nuts like me.

I could go every year. We went last year in June and I am ready to go again but not my family.

Probably not before my next trip, but as soon as I return I'm going to complie all my pics and post them. My issue right now is simply webspace to do so.

Thank you so much for your comments, and I'm glad you are thinking of a solo trip. Although friends and family are wonderful, it's an ENTIRELY different experience solo. You "see" so much more, not just because you have more physical freedom to move around but you really have the quiet and peace to see so much of the detail that so many people miss.

Some of my favorite times on the trip were when I was just sitting on a bench somewhere, watching happy kids go by, looking at the castle, really absorbing what the place has to offer.

And no one to tell me I couldn't do Splash over and over. ;)

Thanks Bev! :)

It's really very easy to go solo at WDW, and 99% of the people were very accomidating. As I've said to a few people who PM'd me privately, I did leave out one or two CM's who asked me the "you're here alone??" question. I just smiled and said "yes, I am, and loving every second of it!"

Every other CM was wonderful, and were great to talk to. I really liked that Deanna (again, I hope I got her name right!) whom I chatted with several nights at Splash and this wonderful girl at the drink stand in Frontierland (she worked at the MNSSHP's - only place for "miles" that had cold drinks late night!) who's name I didn't get. I have some great memories of CM's who really went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable.

I hope you work up the courage to go - although I am sure you are a devoted Mom even the most dedicated can use a break and WDW is a great place to do so. I had my cell phone and used it to call home a couple of times a day and that took care of any "lonliness" or feeling that I wanted to share. And I royally PO'd some of my friends when I'd call them at work in their cubicles and say, "Guess what? I'm standing right in front of Cinderella Castle right now!" LOL.

Thanks for your comments guys!

I don't think I could have fun by myself at WDW! More power to you!!!

Just noticed your going to same time as me. Wanted to say have fun and awesome reports! :)

I've often wondered what it would be like to do Disney solo. It was great to have your perspective on things. Btw, I could probably eat as many burgers as you did.

The next one will be coming just as soon as I go on the trip. :) I'll be posting it live from WDW, hopefully. Stay tuned!
