Sleep and Fly - Detriot

We have done this a couple times. But for the life of me, I cannot remember what hotel I chose! LOL I really would like a hotel that had INSIDE corridors since I am a single mom...I definitely feel safer that way. However, I really don't want to spend an arm and a leg. Just a place to sleep.

We are flying Airtran. Right now my flight is mid morning, so I really don't NEED to stay the night before, but I am a little ridiculous when it comes to being OVERLY ontime. My head thinks "what if there is traffic, or an accident" etc. So...part of me wants to be there "just in case". lol

Any thoughts on good, yet fairly cheap sleep and fly's? The van would be staying for 8 nights. There is quite a few online to look at, but would like some input from experienced travelers. Thanks!

We had a good experience at the Fairfield Inn and Suites. Breakfast was good. Car was parked next door at the QuikPark. QuikPark operated the shuttle. It cost us $119/ night including parking during President's Week.

Ditto on the fairfield as well as Springfield suites... both are great

We used this hotel last September. Everything went smoothly, and it was under $100 for the night at the hotel plus the week of parking. All in all, we had no complaints. Didn't try the pool, so can't comment on that!

Thanks guys. Originally I was not gonna stay at a hotel, but by the time I pay for airport parking, I might as well start our vacation a little bit early! And I won't stress about driving in the morning.

Now for the decision....
