Hi....last minute trip tomorrow to HS. We have a park hopper ticket so starting day in HS and hopping to Epcot late afternoon for a 6:10 biergarten reservation. What time should we get in line for skyliner to get to epcot? Also...if HS is closed by the time we leave epcot, can we still take skyliner back to HS to get to our car in the parking lot? Thought I read somewhere that you couldnt.

Thank you!!

I'm one of those people who would rather be early than late, and we walk slowly, so I'd be walking from DHS to the Skyliner station around 5:00 PM, give or take. That allows time to ride to CBR, transfer to the Epcot line and ride to the IG, get through security and the tapstiles, and walk to Biergarten without feeling rushed.

I think the DHS to CBR Skyliner route probably continues running for about an hour after DHS closes, so if DHS has been closed less than an hour when you leave Epcot, you could probably take it back to the DHS parking lot (you may have to explain to the Skyliner CMs at CBR that your car is there). If it's later than that, you'll have to walk from the IG back to DHS, because even though the Skyliner is running from Epcot to CBR, the CBR to DHS line will probably be closed. And the Friendship boats will have stopped running to DHS by then, too.

Thank you...woukd we be able to take a bus from epcot to hs or will they not be running either?

Unfortunately, once a park closes, transportation to the closed park pretty much ends. So the Epcot to DHS bus will probably stop running very shortly after DHS closes that night. Sorry.

One more thing I just thought of - even though the Friendship boats won’t be running all the way to DHS, they will be running to the Epcot resorts for about an hour after Epcot closes. You could ride to Swan/Dolphin and then walk to DHS - that would cut the walk about in half.

Just an update that might help someone else. We took the skyliner from HS to Epcot around 5:25 and arrived at Biergarten in Germany right on time....at 6:10. I meant to leave earlier but we were in what was supposed to be a 40 min line that turned into about 70. Crowds were crazy today at the studios. We came back on skyliner from epcot to HS around 9:30 with no problem. We were asked why we were going to studios since park was closed. We also asked how long it runs from EP to HS and was told until 10:30 pm.

Good to know what time it stops going to DHS - I’m sure you’re not the only one leaving your car at DHS and closing down Epcot!

A Skyliner cm told me it's best to be in the queue at Epcot IG by 10pm, because you're only guaranteed to get back to DHS if you've boarded by 10:30.

Boats still run to HS for a while. We took a long Skyliner trip from HS to Epcot for the heck of it after HS closed (I wanted to try out the Skyliner for the first time). Got to Epcot at around 10pm and decided to take the boats back to HS. They still took us to HS (we asked if they were continuing on, otherwise would have jumped out at Swan & Dolphin and walked).

The boat pilots indicated that transportation for the parks last up to 90min after close, so we were fine to make that last journey to HS (it was around 10:15 ~ 10:20 when we left Swan & Dolphin for HS).

Good to know. In the past, including our visits since reopening, they’ve emphasized that the last boat from DHS would leave the DHS dock an hour after DHS closes, meaning that last boat would leave Epcot to head to DHS about 30 minutes before. I wouldn’t be surprised if more people are parking at DHS and hopping to Epcot. Hopefully, loosening up transportation from Epcot back to DHS will also take some pressure off of BW parking by people who really want to spend their time in Epcot.
